Obama's preacher hates whitey!

He's a first generation American!

Michele Obama is ashamed of America!

America will never elect a Black man!

All of these are extremely serious concerns. However I won't even countenance such pessimism. The media whores blanketing the airways with these points should strike fear and determination into the heart and soul of every democrat in this country. THIS is the hand we have been dealt. We MUST make it work. We WILL make it work. Because the alternative is unthinkable.

As people who voice concerns are, I was. I had all these concerns and more. Hell I grew up in Chicago and watched Obama rise up from the ranks of state legislator-- a very weak elected office. Weaker even than a Chicago city alderman. Yet here he is today. The presumptive presidential nominee. Amazing. He must be the Tiger Woods of politics to come so far so fast.

So. The time for democrats highlighting his shortcomings is OVER. We are going to win because we must. It is not about Obama. It is about us as a party, it is about us as a nation of laws, IT IS ABOUT US A UNITED PEOPLE TAKING OUR COUNTRY BACK!

Enough. Let us remember who the true enemy is. It is not democrats. We will no longer fall prey to false divisions and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The fascist rethuglicans and their wholly owned corporate media whores whipping up hatred and divisiveness--THAT is the real enemy.

No more attacks on Obama. No more attacks on Hillary. Attack McCain. Attack the rethuglicans picking your pockets, polluting your neighborhood. Attack the rethuglicans who tell you to be afraid of your neighbor. Do not be silent when the rethuglicans tell you that you must hate your neighbor. Shout down the rethuglicans when they tell you that the democrats hate America.

We must stop complaining about who are candidate is our who we think they are.

WE WILL MAKE OUR CANDIDATE INTO WHAT WE NEED!

dumping on the candidates...as I said in another thread that I believe a lot has to do with newbies...all the ones that seem so mean spirited seems to be coming from (not all) them...maybe some are coming over from the freepers to start this crap..I have been on DU since the clinton impeachment and never saw this kind of meanness here before...lets get back to what really matters...we very possibility could be going to bomb Iran..are economy is in the dumper and may not survive this assault, our soldier are dying...lets get back to some of this stuff...
