BACKLASH !
You Can’t Handle the Truth...

So, let us just wrap up it all up in cotton and rainbows. Obama has not been hurt by these racial tirades of his pastor. In fact, there could be a backlash. It could actually help him in the next election. He may win PA by double digits?

The majority of Americans will not be persuaded one way or the other by the comments of Reverend Wright. America has progressed beyond the point where those types of attacks will work any more. This will hurt Hillary more than it will hurt Obama.

Obama will continue to win the most delegates and the popular vote. He will go into Denver on a high note. Once he announces his running mate, the Party will unite behind him. Hillary will give a speech calling for the Party to unite.

The Republicans will not be effective in their attacks upon Barack Obama. The situation in Iraq will be in disarray. The American people will be more concerned about the economy than about the personal attacks from the Republican Party. As Congressman Tom Davis (R-VA) said the other day, paraphrasing, "If the Republican brand were dog food, it would be taken off the shelf".

8. Yes, you're right. I am 99% sure that using "lips" and "ears" in the same sentence
is sexist. No doubt about it!

5. Hillary started the racism binge. She wanted it. She got it.
Now she has to deal with being known as a closet racist the rest of her life.

6. It hurts him in the short run. The issue is reminding people
about McCain.

He'd be in a far worse situation if the mainstream media really caught wind of this:

9. If Obama chooses John Edwards as a running mate, he will win both the primary and the GE.
Bank on it. :D

14. What do you have against John Edwards?
He was a great Dem presidential candidate and would make an excellent VP, and President of the Senate.

13. You are so positive! :) I hope you are right.
In my conversations with people, it's the "God Dam America" comments that have them pretty riled up. But, it's not fair to beat up on Obama for it, and give a pass to McCain on Rod Parsley (freak show).

15. Dunno. It did what it set out to do...
which was not to destroy Obama, but cast just enough doubt in just enough voters to tip the scales.

16. Shouldn't the subject be TEFLON?
So this is news? Just like his idol - Reagan, he cannot be touched? Even if he will be found in a hotel with a live boy or a dead woman, he will survive.

The Clintons, on the other hand, as even Obama's drooler Alter admits, are Velcro. Everything sticks to them.
