I'm feeling nostalgic for 2007.
You know. The days when neither Clinton nor Obama were supported by a majority of DUers; when they ran 3rd and 4th, and sometimes 4th and 5th, in GDP polls:

I'm sure they inspire passion for some. In reality, though, I think the majority of the passion is directed in a different direction. It's not that so many people support one or the other; it's that, with no better choices on the table, so many people are determined to defeat the worst of the two choices left. It's not the passion of conviction that I see here, but the battle fury of an army that has lost the war, but is going to take out the enemy or die trying. The only way left to win is to defeat the enemy, and the enemy is us. Within the party.
In the process, there will be no strong candidate to send against the contender in November, no united army behind him or her.
Most of us never got to vote for our true choice; the rest all dropped out even before Super Tuesday. My primary doesn't roll around until May 20th.
I, for one, cannot pretend that the nomination of either of these two persons will bring unity, or victory. I wish that the rest of the posters here would simply discuss the candidate they've settled for in real terms; strengths and flaws. What are you really winning, if you win? You got to beat the other candidate. At this point, it's not likely that you'll win the general election, and even if you did, enough real issues are "off" the table of either of these candidates, and enough damage has been done, that it's not exactly a thrilling prospect. A relief; no more. A Pyrrhic victory at best.
I'm nostalgic for the days when I could look forward to voting in a new president.
