Dem Panel With Final Say on Delegates Includes former Clinton Employees
osted Mar 13, 2008 by Billy House, Tribune Washington Bureau

The three people selected to head the Democratic Convention credentials committee that could have a final say on Florida’s presidential-delegate controversy are all former Clinton administration employees.

As Democrats in Florida and elsewhere continued Thursday to debate setting a mail-in revote in the state’s presidential primary, there still remained a likelihood that the controversy might not be resolved in that way.

And if a compromise is not reached by July, the issue of what to do with Florida’s Jan. 29 primary results would then be brought before the Democratic convention’s standing committee on credentials.

But if comes down to a decision of that committee, questions of fairness are sure to be raised.

2. That is so idiotic. That's written by someone that doesn't have a clue
about what the credentials committee does and how it works. It's idiots like that that fuel the ignorant attacks by Obamabots.

3. Your title is a bit misleading. Are we now suppose to distrust everyone
who served in an eight-year Democratic administration?

I'm sure there must many who served during those eight years who are Obama supporters. Are they somehow exceptions to the rule and trustworthy?

How about Governor Richardson, a Clinton appointee to the United Nations?

Just what sort of ideological purity test does one have meet beyond being a loyal Democrat?

4. I believe the composition of the credentials committee changes in July to reflect
the delegate count.

So don't worry. the credentials committee will be an Obama stacked deck before it ever votes on anything meaningful.

5. Here is a good assessment of the committees and their roles.
I don't think those three are going to do anything but play by the rules.
