This country is all about taking down politicians and famous people just for the fun of it.We still have racial issues a black man tries to bring the country together and we have other people who want to bring him down mainly in the democratic part.

3. I hope the movement is strong enough to overcome it...
From what I see on the ground in PA, I think it's actually becoming stronger because of it.

6. For Obama and his campaign it's a new beginning..
Today he was very strong. The last few days almost make his message stronger.. I hope he retools his stump speech to include some of what he said today.

8. no- the republicans have nothing on some of the ruthless, mindless
dems who are doing everything they can to take out a man who threatens their sense of 'enevitable entitlement'. And they will fail regardless of what happens to Obama.

peace~

17. Totally shredded
It would be a mistake to pretend this can be shrugged off. It OUGHT to be dealt with and then fade.
But the GOP and its surrogates now see him as fatally vulnerable. And they will act. they now have their game plan laid out for them.
This CANNOT be denied whatever we democrats think, hope, believe.

7. hey MICHELLE..pot meet kettle!!
where has the media been on this??????????

quote from The New Yorker Magazine

The Other Obama
Michelle Obama and the politics of candor.

by Lauren Collins
March 10, 2008
snip:

Michelle Obama: "I want to rip his eyes out!"
From the latest New Yorker--a profile on Michelle Obama.

“I want to rip his eyes out!” she said, clawing at the air with her fingernails. One of her advisers gave her a nervous look. “Kidding!” Obama said. “See, this is what gets me into trouble.”

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I just want to know where Keith Olberman and Jack Cafferty, Wolf Blitzer, Chris Matthews are in reporting this?

Michelle is talking about the former democratic president of the United States.

She is talking about the former head of the Democratic party.

11. fighting back is hardly being mean.
It may not be ideal- but it is being said in response to the 'former head's' actions.

Better analogy would be "tree meet fruit". Bill is reaping what he sows.

peace~

14. Scolding people doesn't win their friendship
You're addressing an audience of Americans and you tell them that Americans are mean. Sure, the assumption is that it's the big "them" outside of the auditorium, but it's not a happy message and there's a little nagging voice in the head that makes one think "hey, wait a minute, I'M not mean".

Maybe THIS is something he could have learned from Reagan.

It seemed that Obama was selling hope and optimism, but the worrisome message is that joy and goodness can only come from him; it's a rather religious appeal: only through me can you get to happyland. This is why people keep carping on the "cult" riff.

15. Bring the country together....you ARE joking right?
Have the country fall in line maybe.
Have the county swoon perhaps.
Come together - joke.
