Obama's "full assault" on Hillary (with link)

First, the headline is appalling - once again it can lead to the meme of the black man attacking a white woman (but let's NOT dwell there).

What I find interesting here, particularly after watching the video of the debate in NH (posted today), and remembering a long-held concern among some that Obama wouldn't fight.

As a believer in fighting fair and an opponent of "the politics of personal destruction" his fighting style really appeals to me.

It is a fight for transparency--a willingness to open himself up, a confidence to weather whatever storm may result, and a fundamental belief in us that we will see this stark difference between himself and Hillary. Do we want open government or secrecy?? This single point is MORE IMPORTANT than any single policy. Ultimately it may be different from any group of policies. With transparency there stops being the Rumsfieldian "we don't know what we don't know".
