Bill Clinton: 'Chill Out,' Let Voters Decide
Bill Clinton, in an exclusive interview with Robin Roberts, said he thinks Democrats are torn between two candidates they like, and that it's time to "chill out" and let the voters decide who should be the party's presidential nominee.

"The voters get to decide. I think we should just celebrate this," Clinton said. "If we just chill out here and let all the voters have their say, my gut is it's gonna come out all right."

Though the campaign has taken some nasty turns, with surrogates and campaign members from each side making controversial attacks on the other, Bill Clinton said for most Democrats both candidates look good.

"The fundamental fact is most voters like them both. They're trying to decide who will make the best president," he said. "And I think we just ought to let every state and Puerto Rico vote, let them all vote, and see where we are and I think it will become clearer than we know, what to do."

The Democratic Party has barred Michigan and Florida delegates from the convention, because the two states moved their primaries earlier than the party wanted. The Clinton campaign has been pushing for the two states' primary votes to be recognized by the party.

I agree - let the voters decide. Once they're done deciding, I hope whomever is not the leader will do the proper thing and help unite the party.

3. Yes, it's important that people on both sides see the outcome as being fair
And the only way for that to happen is to let the thing run its course.

Leave no room for woulda, shoulda, coulda stuff...

4. You know, he should just shut the f_ck up! I cannot tell you how tired
I am of this man. He disgraced the Presidency with his adolescent activities. He has been an awful addition to Hillary Clinton's campaign. He injected race into this thing and now he's telling us to chill out???? I'm sorry, this is a rant but this man should go someplace and chill the hell out himself. Chill out??? Bill, just fuck off, will ya?

So this marks the end of my valiant attempt at impartiality...Jesus!

13. Hillary obviously doesn't have an ounce of self respect
I cannot fathom how she can stay married to that pig. She let's Bill sh*t all over her with his girlfriends, yet she stays with him.

5. But it's not really the voters who will decide, it's the E-vote tabulators. nt

6. Bill Clinton: She can't be the nominee if she doesn't win OH and TX.
Update: She didn't win TX. Bill Clinton is full of shinola.

8. We have decided and it's nearly impossible for H. Clinton to catch up in pledged delegates
So by staying in, she is clearly putting all of her eggs in the basket of the super delegates.

9. Yeah except he's lying
If they truly wanted the voters to decide they wouldn't have suppressed the vote since Iowa and they wouldn't be challenging the Texas caucus to keep the truth about those delegates away from the people.

14. Big Dog also spoke of "fusing" the two candidates into one ticket
Edited on Sun Mar-16-08 06:23 PM by IndianaGreen
which leads me to believe the Clintons, being realist as to their chances of winning according to Hoyle, will blackmail the convention into putting Hillary as VP.

I don't give a rat's ass about Bill's gut. It's what's up his sleeve that concerns me.

20. Tell that to your wife
Edited on Sun Mar-16-08 07:22 PM by rainbow4321
Who wants to disenfranchise all those Fla Dem voters who stayed HOME and didn't VOTE on their primary day because they were told Fla primary votes would not count...only to be told now that your wife wants the Fla delegates seated.

And the ones in Michigan who didn't even have Obama on their ballot.

And now the 1 million TX caucus goers who are being threatened with the TDP being sued by your wife because HER supporters chose to not go caucus that night.

WE are trying to go by the votes, Mr Clinton..it is YOUR WIFE that seems to have a problem with it.

22. But Bill-your wife stated Obama hasn't enough experience
.... so why would you suggest a choice between valid candidates after Hilliary warned us he is deficient??? Are you trying to keep her viable or is your wife a liar??? Really from what I read here, we should both "chill out" and "celebrate" and then a claim that "both sides made controversial attacks".How about this as a question, Bill-Is Obama as qualified to be President as John McCain or is your wife lying???
