Look around you.
While the Democrats tear each other apart, the economy is taking a nose dive into the tanker and John McCain is over in Iraq trying to look the 44th President of the United States.

We are being played like a fiddle on a hot tin roof.

Banks are crashing. The price of oil by the barrell is through the roof. Things seem like they are getting to a boiling point and at the same time, this racial thing is happening.

Coincidence? I don't think so.

The Repugs have given us a little distraction to fight over, while they rob and pillage and set themselves up to be the "sane" people come November.

The Republicans know nothing about the economy. John McCain knows less than the Republicans.

Why isn't the media focused on the state of the economy rigt now. We are in a recession and steaming full ahead to a depression. Banks are caving in. People are loosing their homes. And Bush gets to get on television and LIE (like he did with Iraq) about not yet being in a recession. Why are we even allowing this man to retain office?

Can John Conyers PLEASE begin the impeachment process for Dick Cheney and George Bush. It is NOT too late.

2. Au contraire
While I mostly agree with the spirit of your post, the Republicans know the economy quite well, thank you very much. This economy is not due to incompetence, but to careful planning.

It's quite deliberate. These people aim to end the United States as we know it and to turn us into a third world nation with no middle class.

It's no accident.

5. Uh, the fiddle was played on just a regular roof. The "hot tin" roof had a cat on it.

6. Out of everything I said
that is all you could respond to? Who gives a damn where the fiddle is being played. Damn.

What about impeaching Bush and Cheney? Do you think we should do that? John Conyers needs to make this happen.

8. Just thought you'd like to know. And, if you want to fantasize about impeachment, be my guest.
But this is the real world, not a fantasy world. Impeachment isn't going to happen.

7. Remember talk of the GE never happening?
Well, the downward spiraling US economy just might cause that. . .heck, who wants to pay attention to politics when your paycheck evaporates. . .

primary AND general elections could be delayed. . .martial law. . .as people run on the banks and people get ugly. . .just look at all the hatred on this political blog . . .can't imagine how these same haters act when their economic security is gone.

Seems like Cheney got all his ducks in a row to commandeer the puppet-pResident as an extended-pResident. . .suddenly I REALLY LOST my interest in election news. . .

I'm FOR REAL scared of this erratic, faux US economy.

I agree with all you said 100%.

9. great post, too bad no one is listening
so many are too pre-occupied making sure that the other dem candidate looks like a pile of shit that they aren't even realizing that we are playing into the hands of the republicans. the news is all about obama this or clinton that, then you have bush comparing our economy to a rough patch and saying that we dont want to "over correct" so that we dont drive into a ditch... what the fuck are we doing allowing this bastard to keep going, then we barely notice that dick is over there for god knows what. the republicans have yet again dictated our agenda, and we dont even seem to notice.
