how obama can win in PA!!
he needs to start running ads saying that the voters of pennsylvania can end this bickering and nomination campiagn by voting for him. he needs to say that if PA votes for hillary then we will hand the white house to mccain. in fact, obama should start saying this nationwide now.

5. No, all he has to do is find a cheap way to remove red shale dust from windshields.
Nothing would make Pennsylvania more happy.

That, and ending the underground coal mine fires that have been burning for a hundred years or so.

6. I disagree, he has taken the position that all the states count, he can't discount the last 10
contests.

He should try to "end it" after the last vote is cast and counted by having SDs declare that they will support the nominee with the most pledged delegates. At that point we will all know just how much Barack won by.

11. Exactly...Obama's not going to do anything
like that. Obama will win on his own merits.

8. Here's a better strategy for Obama in PA . . .
If Obama believes that he'll win the nomination (and the odds do favor him) but that winning the PA primary is unlikely, he should say something like the following to his supporters:

"Now I want to say something, here, to all of you who are supporting me, something very important for the future of our hopes of winning the White House next November. Now I know that there has been a lot of animosity generated by the intensity of this primary campaign between the two Democratic camps. I want to remind you all that our foremost goal here in Pennsylvania is to carry the state in November against the Republicans, regardless of whether we win the primary this month or not. To do that, we are going to need the support not only of all of you but also of the many loyal Democrats that are currently supporting Senator Clinton. So, I want to remind all of you, my supporters, to be gracious, whether in victory or defeat, toward your fellow Democrats working for Senator Clinton, in preparation for the reunification effort that will be required for success in the fall. Whether it's your co-workers, friends, or family, let them know that you respect our differences within the party and that we will all need to come together following the convention in support of the Party's nominee."

That would be a smart move for "unity" candidate, under the circumstances that exist in PA. Bet he doesn't do it.

10. You mean like how the campaign teaches all leaders to do? Respect our differences?
You'll be delighted to know that this is a central principle. We were reminded of this core concept during our caucus by the campaign leadership. Thanks for reminding me, it's been a while. I do try to live that way, but it's not always easy.
Aloha.

16. Agreed, Obama is going to lose up to 20 delegates from his lead in PA. But will catch up
further down the line.

18. After PA, Hillary won't have any more big states to point to, to pull out her win
She will win PA but it will be her last gasp at fooling people into the idea she can win. Pressure will then mount very quickly for her to drop out. Especially after Obama wins NC which is almost as big as PA.

15. why do we always assume we are handing everything to the Reps?

some folks in PA like Hillary, and some like Obama. I don't like the "if you support candidate X, we will lose" meme.

17. I think he will lose PA but so what? Soon after Obama will win NC and
PA will be forgotten just like Ohio has been forgotten and suddenly Hillary won't have any more big states to pull her out. The country will then realize she cant win and the pressure will build for her to get out.
