Has anyone seen any coverage of Wright in the M$M Today?
Edited on Mon Mar-17-08 02:44 PM by Johnny__Motown
I didn't work today and spent a good chunk of the day with the tube tuned to MSNBC and/or CNN.

I saw plenty of stories on the economy. Some on McCain and Cheney in Iraq. CNN covered the damage to their building in Atlanta. Some guy in CO in a wheelchair claimed he had a detonator attached to his oxygen tank. Hillary had an event where she talked about Iraq and the Economy. A 6th body was found in the NY crane disaster. Heather Mills and Paul McCartney settled their divorce today. MSNBC has a new line up of shows starting tonight.

EDIT... I forgot about Paterson being sworn in today.. and the call girl story follow up

Rev. Wright.... didn't see or hear a word about him today.

So..... Blip?

2. I find it hard to believe anyone cares, except Fox/Limbaugh/Hannity, and of course, their
faithful listeners, the GOP and Hillary supporters.

21. GMA led with Wright (again) this morning. All about how many emails they had received
after Friday's story. And they ran the "god damn america" clip again and had on Donna Brazile and Juan Williams to "discuss" it.

I'll be watching Tweety and Wolfie tonight.

Stay tuned...

4. Obama's polls are up, and her polls are down...
...and nothing has been mentioned.

I was freaking out over a few of Obama's past dust ups, but I
felt very calm about this one.

It's just not going to stick.

that the reporting was a racist undertaking in and of itself. The ones crying loudest are more racist than Wright ever conceived of.

O'Reilly
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,338488,00.html

SEAN CASEY, BARACK OBAMA'S ADVISER: It's interesting to me. You haven't vetted Hillary Clinton's pastor's sermons. It seems to me what you're trying to do is what some of the media tried to do to John Kennedy in 1960. That because he was a Catholic, he must embrace certain political views the Catholic Church held.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

That's Obama adviser Sean Casey. And it's nonsense. That's just BS.
Now I don't believe Senator Obama agrees with his pastor, but he again needs to explain the situation himself, not that pinhead. Again, I wouldn't sit in a church where a pastor said that. Would you? Why does Senator Obama? That's a simple question.

On the press front, the corrupt left-wing media hates this story. The Chicago Sun-Times ignored it completely. New York Times barely mentioned it. CBS and NBC News didn't report it last night on their nightly programs. ABC News had all the tape, but ran very little of it. CNN pretty much ignored it, except for Anderson Cooper.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON COOPER: All this seems to have nothing to do with actual issues that the country is facing, which these candidates should be talking about and we probably should be talking about. So on the one hand, I mean, people are talking about it. It's clearly an issue that's building up in the campaign trail, so we end up covering it. But at the same time, it does feel just completely off track.

Nobody wants a panic

Just consider what would happen if oil started being traded in Euros instead of Dollars.

Holy crap the dollar would dive and oil for us would skyrocket. 110 a barrel would be a fond memory at that point.

11. actually, I'm kinda glad that the dustup about Obama has been overshadowed
by the corporate welfare story ...

It needs to be shouted that the Repukes were more than happy to shovel $$$ at the wealthy ... the very same $$$ that they say is not there for minimal health coverage for kids ...

12. We haven't heard the end of it
but I think the prognoses that Obama's campaign is over because of this were more the result of irrational exuberance from some quarters as opposed to sober and objective assessments of the situation.

To translate: there may be some people who WANT this to end Obama's campaign, and you should take them with a grain of salt. We won't really see the impact of this thing until mid-week at least.

16. Not on MSNBC.
I watched it for about two hours earlier today. I saw stories about the economy, McCain, the McCartney divorce, pledged delegates, NY's new governor, and the crane tragedy.

I did flip to CNN a couple of times, but they were talking about the economy when I flipped. Maybe I just missed it.

Hopefully, the story's done now.

this is not a primary election smear - It was introduced with the idea that he would be the nominee. Look for it to always be in the background during the general election.

23. Go Figure....
A friend of mine suggested that the pendulum swing of hit pieces has returned to Senator Clinton. If she is correct, the repukes will hit her next and Senator Obama will get the blame. In the meanwhile, I have enjoyed some of the coverage regarding the tornadoes and such. It would be better if we had news from Iraq...well REAL news that is. (On the other hand, that is why we have the internet and progressive radio).
