Poll question: Are we ruining the best chance that we have for a Democratic President when we need it most?
Wars, failed economy, climate crisis, threats of more wars and another great depression..... When we need a progressive president and congress are we threatening our chances of changing the course that we are on?

If so, Why? Why are we shooting ourselves in the foot?

3. here's a novel idea, the one with no chance in Hell of winning should drop out before she ruins it
we need to unite soon.

How did the saying go, "if we dont stand together, we will hang seperately"???

Seems true today as it did back in revolutionary times.

6. The delegates and super delegates should come forward and
make their pick...what are they waiting for...just to see who will give the best deal...and that's not right..for the good of the party I wish they would step up now...

2. Hillary needs to drop out, the party needs to get behind the person who cannot be caught in pledged
delegates.

5. Define "progressive." That's the problem. There is no agreement.
The party is very polarized at this time, so middle ground is going to be hard to achieve given the emotionally charged environment.

9. I define "progressive" very loosely....not a bush-like war monger
my standards are very low right now. Neither Obama nor Clinton are ideal. I was a Kucinich fan, but that died a quick death. I just want to stop wars and try to pad the coming economic crash. Stop spending trillions on war might help fund the soup lines

12. Yeah, I supported Kucinich with Edwards as my very close alternate.
So I'm orphaned in that regard. I'm not terribly thralled by either candidate, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Dems just barely win the presidency in 2008 instead of slam dunking the Repubs. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the Dems lose to McCain.

7. Nah, we're good. You can't buy publicity like this. We're all anyone's talking about.
McCain might as well buy his missing person's billboard now. Have you seen this man? Last observed defeating his primary challenger. Not seen or heard from since. If spotted, please call the hotline for failed presidential candidates. They have a room waiting for him.

Geeze, some of you act like you've never seen a presidential race before.

8. HRC is too selfish to look beyond entitlement for the best of the party
She really, truly thought this nomination would be a cakewalk and now that she's
having to fight for it, she's using "scorched earth" policy. It's as simple as
one woman's ego.

10. When we need a progressive president ..........
Thats the crux of the problem right there.

We have two candidates, but one represents the establishment Democratic ideals (DLC), while the other has repudiated their pro-business bias in favor of trying to forge a new coalition to bring progressive policies back to try and solve our country's problems.

However, the establishment feels they must win to preserve the benefits they've gained for the constituants that most matter to them, that a real progressive would undermine, undo, reverse the advantages the upper classes have obtained since the 80's.

The progressive candidate has always led in pledged delegates, would have already been declared the winner if he represented the establishment.

And the establishment candidate refuses to acknowledge that the majority of voters really DO want change away from the traditional pro-business policies she represents.

So the war wages on, and the losers may ultimately be those who truly want change.

11. Yes, because after WI Hillary figured out she had lost, now she wants a shot in '12

For this to happen she needs McCain to win

13. Not "we," Hillary is ruining the best chance we have for a Democratic President at this crucial mome
nt. Hillary Clinton's viciousness and greed may just destroy the Democratic Party and our best chance to control both the legislative and executive branches of government, since that other Clinton lost control of Congress.
