Please pardon the interruption
But what are you all doing tomorrow? I was hoping you could get up from your keyboards for a brief period and tell your neighbors there is a war on and we need to bring our troops home. Five years ago tomorrow our pResident made the fatal decision to invade Iraq. Since then nearly 4000 (actually probably many more) of our soldiers have died and a million Iraqis are also dead. Millions have fled Iraq and there are still many areas of the country with no electricity, no running water and no schools for the children to attend.

PLEASE take a moment of time tomorrow to remember the ones we have lost and the tragedy this war has become.

Okay you can go back to arguing now. After all, what can be more important than Obama's preacher or Hillary's tax returns?

8. War is not pretty
is it?

Sometimes I wonder if we put pictures like this on the front page of every paper in the country and on the 6:00 news every night if we would even have any more wars.

3. Did you catch any of the IVAW Winter Soldier stuff this weekend?
There was essentially a MSM blackout of the event. I have been watching streaming video of it.it's good stuff.

10. you are lucky. I am anxious to see video footage of ALL of it.
I have only seen "rules of engagement, part 1", whatever Amy Goodman puts on her Democracy Now site, plus random youtube clips. I have the 1971 Winter Soldier dvd.

11. It was hard to sit through
You all watching it online probably saw more of it than I did. I kept having to walk out. I am slowly watching bits of it now. Still hard to sit through.

4. Nothing is more important than ending this horrible war.
The consequences of the war are so far-reaching that we will be dealing with them for years. For all those who think the economy is the most important issue, I say Bull! One look at the burned child should make any sane person realize that the problems WE created in Iraq are in another league compared to our gas woes, or foreclosures.
