Just a quick note on the Obama speech
First off, I am supporting neither candidate in this election - I find them to be merely two more pandering pawns in the game, each trying to be new! improved! while playing the same old game with the same old rules.

That being said, if you are going to address an issue head on, and you want to put it to bed once and for all, you give that speech.

If it gets coverage (big IF), this issue is gone, dead and buried.

Very well written, concise, and perfect in both tone/substance and in refocusing his message.

1. And that is why so many, here and elsewhere, are freaking out about it.
They don't WANT the 'issue' addressed and dealt with - the want it to fester and and poison Obama and/or the Democrats in general.
