Obama hasn't been fair to Clinton. The Democratic Party has been worse to Clinton. The voters haven't been fair to Clinton. But if she gets the nominee with fewer votes or pledged delegates than Obama, she'll win the general election because McCain will be nice to her. Once the primary is over, it will be smooth sailing to the general election.

But if she doesn't get the nomination because those deranged Democratic voters and Party leaders didn't see clearly that McCain would be a impotent opponent, she should run as an independent. It's clear that the Party is unworthy of her, so she should make its her life's mission to destroy the evil man who ran such an unfair campaign, and the Party who elected him, unfairly.

2. And THIS time, Lucy really means it. She won't
snatch the football away when Charlie tries to kick it. Not THIS time.

3. I disagree with almost everything you have said in this post.
McCain might be nice to Clinton on the face of it, but his surrogates are going to rip into the Democratic nominee, regardless who it is, with a ferocity that we haven't seen in a long time. The Republicans realize that that McCain is not going to be the strongest runner in this race and they are going to make this a very nasty campaign in order to level the playing field.

If Hillary does not get the nomination she should NOT run as an independent. We don't need anyone siphoning off Democratic votes in this election. Regardless who wins the nomination all Democrats, even (or especially) the losing Democratic candidates need to unite behind the nominee with full support if we hope to take back the White House in this election.
