My friends, he is qualified.

I personally would like to thank everyone who made this historic moment possible.

2. He's doing well
This is a good speech, but the whole time I'm wondering how things might be different if the media would have given Kerry this much time to appear uninterrupted. Good for Obama, though.

3. Yes he sounds presidential
isn't that why he's talking today? Thats what we need, someone who "sounds" presidential. I am an awesome speaker. I can orate my ass off and "sound" presidential. Vote for me.

6. why is everything you have to say negative?
A man gives a great speech about moving past the divisiveness that both candidates have shown in the campaign and you cant even say anything good about that? I hope all democrats don't think like you because then we don't deserve to win this election.

8. I have been
negatively effected, not by the candidate but by his supporters who insist everyone say only nice and positive things about their perfect candidate. "Unity" to them means their way or the highway. I am not talking to Obama here I am chatting with his supporters. He HAD to give a great speech. Why is that? And as a former High School and College Debater I did not find it a great speech. I'm very secure in my 30 years as a member of the Democratic Party and I will, in November, vote for every Democrat on the ballot top to bottom. I hope other democrats think the way I do.

4. I was going to post this; you beat me to it.
The guy looks like a president.

I think this is just the jolt the campaign needed to speed things back up.

7. Just when Blitzer was deciding...
that the entire speech was about Wright, we had a test of the emergency broadcast system, cutting Blitzer off. I've never been so grateful. Even Crowley is doing a better job.
