1. Oh, NOW she says " ...there is no military solution". There never was a military solution to Saddam
Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 12:16 PM by havocmom
but she voted to allow it anyway. If you want one guy out, there are more effective ways of doing it than throwing damned near all the troops you have at him! But using all those troops WAS a more effective way of staking claim on Iraqi oil AND arranging for several giant corporations to profit handsomely.

Hillary voted with bush to look tough for her run for the WH. Most of us knew the neocons were gonna take us to war and not diplomacy. Hillary isn't stupid. She either knew it too and voted to kill tens of thousands of innocent people anyway so she would look tough for her campaign, or we are wrong and she really is stupid.

Obama has us take a look at what needs to be corrected then offers hope that, together, we CAN make corrections.

4. Hillary on Obama's speech: "It's whether the president delivers on the speeches."
Hillary "glad he gave" speech

Clinton, speaking at Philadelphia City Hall, began by preempting questions about Obama's speech:

"I did not have a chance to see or to read yet Sen. Obama’s speech, but I’m very glad that he gave it. It’s an important topic," she said. "Issues of race and gender in America have been complicated throughout our history, and they have been complicated in this primary campaign. There have been detours and pitfalls along the way."

She continued that the fact that the Democratic Party is set to nominate an African-American or a woman is something Americans "should celebrate."

Then she turned back to why Democrats should choose her.

"The opportunity for America will be in choosing a president who will best solve the big challenges our country faces," she said.

Also, she took a little dig at speeches, in general. What matters, she said, isn't the quality of the speeches:

"It's whether the president delivers on the speeches."

5. Well I do agree with one thing
It is important that the person delivers on their speech, no doubt about it. Now we need to figure out which one of them sounds more "sincere" about delivering, and which one has stayed on track with their message and not waffled all over the place on the issues. Hillary keeps saying things one day, and then says another thing the next day. Now that doesn't give me much confidence in her sincerity.

6. I wonder if the Iraqis
Would agree with her about this "wonderful" gift they received from the invasion of their country? For some reason I really doubt it!

8. Her message has been: "Tell those lazy good-for-nothing Iraqis no more blank checks!"
There are limits to how much gifts even WE can give, you know!

9. Hillary Bush is a puppet of the status quo.
If she becomes the Democratic nominee, it will complete the demise of the Democratic party as the "opposition party.'
