7. You won't get far on DU with Pelosi
However, it's worth mentioning that she is in fact third in line behind the President at this moment in time. Therefore she will probably be on his short list regardless of the scorn and contempt with which many of us regard her.

19. Obama shouldn't have run this year.
I'm a big supporter of Obama and even voted for him in the IL primary last month but I'm starting to think if it was even a good idea for him to run this year. Having both Hillary and Obama run at the same time was just a huge mistake. Don't get me wrong... I still support Obama and would absolutely vote for him in November. But I just think that... 4 years or 8 years from now would have really been his time. If this race continues to get dirty neither Hillary or Obama will come out looking good in all of this and if the republicans win this election who do the democrats turn to next? Hillary probably wouldn't run again in 2012 regardless of if she got the nomination or not and if Obama got the nomination even if he'd like to run again in 2012 I don't think he would since it seems like democrats who lose presidential elections are just basically useless to the party after they lose or else we would have seen Al Gore run in 2004 or 2008 or John Kerry run this year. Al Gore/Obama... now there's a ticket I would have loved to see.

:patriot:
i think its gonna work out ok..

i agree that failed candidates often become "dead soldiers" unless they have such a massive grassroot support as dean or obama.

31. Actually I am a Hillary supporter and think if Obama is the nominee
and it looks like he probably will be... that he should make Hillary VP. HOWEVER, if there was absolutely, positively, 100% no way he could force himself to come to a compromise with Hillary... my fast second choice would be Edwards. I love Edwards and think he is wonderful. If he does not go with Hillary I hope and pray he will go with John Edwards. I just doubt it. Somehow I don't think Edwards and Obama really like each other all that much. With Obama not meeting with him NC (rumor I think) and Edwards not having endorsed Obama. But who knows. I'd still rather Hillary as VP. I would strongly support that. I have no ill will for Obama and think he will make a great president. He makes me proud that he is a democrat and I cried during his speech today, I just perfer Hillary for specific policy reasons and percieved experience reasons. I think she were the his VP it would meld those things into his campaign (such as her and Edward's health care plan) and her supporters would be happy with that. I know I would.

21. Very unlikely. A lot of people can't stand her
and Republicans in partticular would have a field day jesting about wacky San Francisco values and digging up every past political scandal we've ever had in this town (of which there are sadly plenty). I think it would be sort of the same with Boxer, to be honest.

I've often said how I like Janet Napolitano who has executive experience and an excellent electoral as well as official track record. But the broad consensus seems to be that he needs to add foreign policy experience to the ticket and so the signs would point to Bill Richardson for that.
