Talk about missing the point! Rush and Hannity - Invincible Ignorance
They made the same tired, reactionary, uber-outraged statements they were making the day before. NO recognition of the man and the moment and the message. Oh, they commented on it, they just literally, DIDN'T GET IT. Sad really. They are the buggy makers watching the first cars hit the road. They just can't believe that their day has finally come to an end.

Rush and Sean - invincible ignorance. Someday maybe they'll get up their nerve and try out the horseless carriage with the rest of us.

We all get to pick - the way forward or the way backward.

1. They get it all right. To acknowledge it would be to prove
how wrong they've been. Can't have that. Plus, to give Obama any credence would take away their 'support' of Clinton. They want her to run against McCain. Can't have that either.

10. My esteemed colleague -
My humble thanks for your kind remarks. Your approbation is high reward indeed.

(I've been watching "John Adams", is it noticeable?)

13. Unforunately, we don't get HBO here.
But being somewhat familiar with the parlance of that era, I will state:

"I remain your humble servant, at the ready to support your position - nay, to fight for it to the death, should the need arise."

4. They are picking on Obama because they still believe he will be the nominee.
If Clinton somehow overtakes Obama and becomes the front runner then they will point their guns at her again. Remember a few months ago when it was widely assumed that Clinton would be the nominee. Back then it was all Clinton bashing all the time with nary a cross word about Obama.

6. John McCain represents the past.
Clinton, stagnation. Obama, the future.

That's all I wanted to say.

7. There is absolutely zero chance they will do anything other than vilify Obama
no matter what he says or does, there is simply no point in even watching.

8. Couldn't believe Limpballs -- he said we've ALREADY transcended race
in America! :wtf:

And BillO The Big Giant Head could only complain about Obama's reference to
Reagan using racism/crime for his political advantage. LAME ASSES!

9. They are part of the Republican Party, what else do you expect?
Given the strength of the speech, I'd ignore it too.

They are special.

12. They don't get it because their schtick may as well have been written in advance.
Have you been to Michelle Malkin's Hate Site yet today? Wear a biohazard suit if you wander over.

They didn't listen to a word. All they heard was static... they were looking at a black man giving the most important political address concerning race in America in a generation, and they immediately went right into their stereotype bunnyholes.

Obama screws with their message of divide-and-conquer, us versus them. He fucks up their world, and they have no earthly idea how to handle him.

It's like fucking Groundhog Day. I'm wondering if even their stupid followers will get tired of the same old spew over and over.

15. Well since the republicans have managed to screw EVERYTHING up, you're right
they don't get it.

Anyone that votes for any republican, ever, after seeing the debacle they caused is officially a moran.

17. Hasn't their moment finally passed?
Can they finally be revealed for the worn-out old war-horses they are? Aren't they boring? Aren't they passe? Don't they just say the same old tired ass things over and over and over??

How can anyone hear Sean Hannity talk about "the best health care system in the world" without just bursting into laughter -

Yeah! for HIM! He can afford whatever crap life throws at him. (Although, come to think of it, Superman had to rely on the kindness of friends when even his funds couldn't support his disease) The rest of us go broke when we get seriously ill, even if we have insurance. He must say those things because he must be PAID to say those things. No sane person in this world could actually believe that.

Rush - The Great Pontificator of the Right Wing- Why? How? And they want to talk about human frailties?! They CHOOSE to talk about "moral compasses" ?! Are they kidding?!
