Thank you Senator Obama
For giving a historic speech today.

For being more truthful, eloquent and insightful at a time when America desperately needs it.

For giving a speech so powerful, that talking heads are agog in wonder - they have never seen, nor heard such honesty, reflection, faith and hope.

For taking it to a whole new level - one that outplays the old games in such a classy manner that it will rewrite the game entirely.

This is what leadership looks like.

Perhaps, after almost eight years of what America has had to endure, this speech will serve as a reminder of what it is supposed to feel like - you know what I am talking about. Have a president that can speak eloquently, in full bodied sentences.

Anyhow, this humble canuck hopes you win the presidency, for yourself, your nation, and the world.

3. Well said. I, and apparently everyone else agrees.
Race is a NON PARTISAN issue, and should be the sex issue.

5. Yes, thank you Senator! Here are a few quotes I dug up that reminded me of what he did today.
"Great crisis produce great men and great deeds of courage." - John F. Kennedy

"Leaders learn by leading, and they learn best by leading in the face of obstacles. As weather shapes mountains, problems shape leaders." -Warren Bennis

"Anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm." -Publilius Syrus

"A man does not show his greatness by being at one extremity, but rather by touching both at once." - Blaise Pascal

And my favorite...

"The great leaders are like the best conductors - they reach beyond the notes to reach the magic in the players." -Blaine Lee

Here's hoping "President Barack Obama" will get that opportunity to lead this nation to greatness again. :patriot:

6. Thank you!
I think the nation is impressed now... Even Pat Buchannan had to accept it's power.
