Obama proved he is ready to be president/commander in chief
He is unruffled, he see's things from all sides and considers all options. He then addresses the crisis in a level-headed uninflammatory way. Barack Obama, in my opinion, has shown he has shown he has what it takes to be president and to be ready in any crisis. This is an impressive man.

Obama told it like it is but in a rational way which pointed no fingers. If it had been Obama's opponent she would be blaming everybody for her problems with tears in her eyes.

7. Y'Know, as a Former Gore, Dean, and Edwards Supporter
I thought Obama was OK. Normally I put more stock in experience than rhetoric. But this speech really won me over. He's for real. I think he'll be a good and a historic president.

9. Yes, that is exactly what won me over about him.
I was floored by the diplomatic, thoughtful way he had of coming back against negativity, both in debates and when responding to negative campaigning.

11. Do you have any idea what the commander-in-chief does?
Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 07:48 PM by carlotta
It's not about making pretty speeches. It's rolling up your sleeves and slogging through a ton of paperwork and making strategic, difficult decisions every day.
Just how, I'd love to know, does giving a speech qualify you for that?

12. Yes, it's about making decisions in a way where you get all options
and consider things in a rational way based and then address the problem/crisis in a way which is uninflammatory--unlike our present president. This has been a crisis for the Obama campaign and he handled it in a way which makes me proud to think he could be making these decisions. Just like he did on the war. I think he has the maturity and intelligence to answer that red phone of Hillary's at 3AM.

13. He is an exceptionally intelligent man...
...a scholar of Constitutional law. I'm sure he'll have no problem with paperwork, or strategic decision making. Just in the campaign alone he's shown himself to be a superlative organizer, quick-thinker and quite diplomatic.

14. C'mon now. As raggedy a campaign as Hillary has run, I know you're
not trying to imply that she's more prepared to roll up her sleeves and slog through a ton of paperwork. Apparently, Obama's organization skills are superior.
