Obama proved today that he can face the fire and still come out on top. This is the guy I want fighting for the party for the next eight years.

1. He did prove...
he has balls. People ask about how he will do against the Republicans, he will kick ass.

He also does it in a honorable way.

Peace

2. True - he'll either put them to shame or speak to their better angels...
Heck, they're already switching parties to vote for him!

4. If I only get three of these a day, I'm going to try to keep this one kicked at least once more.

5. I always knew he was a fighter. The difference between Obama and
the other guy is that he is classy. He doesn't have to wallow in mud to fight. He fights with his brain, his morality, his character, his intelligence. He doesn't sweat when he fights and it doesn't give off an odor. For those not familiar with this type of fighting, it might not be apparent that he is, in fact, fighting.

But I always knew.. :-) :hi:

7. Verbal ju-jitsu
He uses his words to redirect the attacks against those who perpetuate them, he's fighting, maybe not in the same way as some (ie the clintons) may be used to, but I for one think he's doing a relatively good job

8. He looked dejected and defeated. His body language and candence were off. Not his A game.

11. Huh.
Y'know, it was a serious speech. Not a victory night speech - I know there have been a lot of those, so it's understandable that you'd compare today's speech to those. Not a stump speech. Not a rally. Keeping it subdued was entirely appropriate.

And certainly it was miles removed from Clinton's "Choirs will sing!" speech as well.

10. You've been repeating this bullshit all day and its a lie. I'm watching the speech right now on
CSPAN and he doesn't look dejected or defeated at all. The nomination is in the bag for him.
