U.S. Rep. John Murtha today announced his endorsement of
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

“I’ve known Senator Clinton for 15 years,” the Johnstown Democrat said in a statement released by his campaign committee.

“I know that she continually reaches out for opinions and ideas, not just from our nation’s leaders, but from all Americans.”

Murtha is one of the most powerful Democrats in the House.

1. Does his endorsement come with a 100 or so delegates?
Because if not, it doesn't matter.

7. Congrats to Clinton
As an Obama supporter, I admit I was saddened that Murtha didn't become the Party whip. And it also makes up for losing Spitzer's delegate (also saddening).

24. Ha ha, Nancy Pelosi.
The man you wanted as Majority Leader endorses Hillary. One of our most outspoken advocates for finding a resolution to the occupation of Iraq endorses Hillary. The man who took a boatload of crap from the Repubs and still stood strong for our troops endorses Hillary.

It just goes to show, when you know what someone is truly made of, when you've worked with them year after year after year, when you really want what's best for this country, pretty words are a dime a dozen.

Incidentally, John Murtha is the only member of Congress (except Wyden, my Senator) to whom I've sent an actual typed snail mail letter, thanking him for speaking out.

27. Damn you John Murtha!
Now all the Obamites are going to put you on their sh** list along with Geraldine, Bill, Plame, Wilson and too many others to mention. Well all Clinton supporters to be exact. All the people they used to admire are now enemies and full of cra*.

33. Think Of The Shoe On The Other Foot...
What would you think if HRC had won more than twice as many states, was ahead 150 pledged delegates, ahead over 700,000 popular votes and then Murtha had endorsed Obama? Would you consider maybe he was going against the will of the party? Be honest if you can.

35. I don't know if you really believe that, but for the record,
I like Obama a lot, I don't really have a 'sh** list', and I have a lot of respect for Murtha, Ferraro, Bill, Plame and her husband, and most Clinton supporters that I actually know.

People I DON'T have much affection, nor respect, for would be more like shrub, Rove, Rummy, Darth Cheney, either Bolton, several others of their ilk.

It's okay, though, if you don't really care what I think. Just wanted to point out that your use of the word 'all' makes your statement, technically, false.
