1. No bump
Will have neutralized the attacks, or will slump out of the race.

What he did today was extremely risky. It's rolling the dice on the whole thing.

3. I agree. I'm willing to go down on the ship with him
if that's the case. What he did today was so selfless.

2. at first I wondered why he did it this way... but if he knocks the
next two speeches out the park then the media will be forced to move on from the Wright story.

GOBAMA!

4. I had to vote "will lose ground"
but not because of any real fault of his OWN. I think American's are stupid, and I really don't know how much they are going to bother listening to the speech. (Which I thought was wonderful and moved me to tears.) We will see. I fear the Wright issue will stick with many American's more than the speech, because the Wright issue is a soundbyte issue... the speech was epic, but takes a while to listen to and get the full effect. American's have bad ADHD and many are redneck fools who hold deep seeded hate. I support Hillary, but do not want to see her win because American's are stupid rednecks. This is such a hard time for me, while supporting Hillary I also have a lot of respect and admiration for Obama. I feel like everytime I speak on DU that I am secretly hated, or it is assumed that I hate Obama. But I really think that "will lose ground" (thought not plummet! I think it'll be a relatively small loss) is the most likely option. I see this alot in in my parents who wont even listen to the speech and are going off of news sound bytes and refuse to see the big picture and claim it was a racially biased speech???? how crazy? It upsets me. It was a moving and powerful speech, that spoke the truth. The only thing he should have added is that, among whites, there is not only some resentment but a lot of guilt that eats away at us for what our ancestors did, and that makes us sensitive. The truth is so many of us feel terrible, and sick to our stomachs to think about what people who have blood ties to us once did. Although I speak for a young generation.

Oh well, just thought I'd explain my vote in your poll.

8. Sure, there will be some whose prejudices aren't moved.
Maybe they will be later, maybe they never will be. But they are no longer the majority and those who see the truth are growing in numbers daily. Just understand that your parents are coming from a different place and time - just as Obama was explaining about Wright today.

6. What 3 speeches? All I've heard reported was today's
And it sounded like today's was so dry and dull that nobody who didn't already see it will bother looking for it.

I have no interest in seeing it, the guy is dead to me. He's way too much of a hypocrite for me to ever vote for him unless I have him as my only choice.

7. The More People See And Hear Obama The More They Like Him
Give Barack the opportunity and he gains support. Every primary contest, every caucus bears this fact out. Even the primaries he lost he erased what appeared to be insurmountable leads held by Senator Clinton. That is NOT a repudiation of Hillary. It it the American public embracing and affirming Barack Obama.

11. will lose ground

Many people won't like it that he praised Rev. Wright and didn't apologize for the preachers comments.

Rev. Wright basically blamed America for 9/11 and insulted all the people who died that day.

Besides Obama kool-aid drinkers (and 9/11 conspiracy theory tinfoilers), most Americans find that message disgusting and beneath contempt.

ANY association that Obama keeps with statements like that will kill him politically. He should have completely repudiated Rev. Wright but he was worried about alienating blacks. Its a box he is in and will lose because of it.

12. Lots of ministers do the same work in the black community as Wright
but do it in a way and with a message that doesn't seek to put all the blame on whitey.

This was a speech that Obama didn't want to give but had to give to get himself out of a hole.

It will have minimal impact if any over the long run.

15. Anything more then 10 points and I think you will see another wave of Super Delegates
make the endorsement.

I also think if he suprasses Clinton in national polls by more than 12 points or goes to over 55% she may in fact make the decsion to end this.

If FLorida and Michigan decide not to revote if he reaches a new plateu in popularity and if he catches up to her in Pennsylvania. She and her staff are going to have to have one of those meetings no one want t to have.

Getting beat in PA would kill this anyway. She is goint face a lot of pressure to dropout and if he wins every news cycle this week it hurts he in fundraising.

There are a lot of iffs but if he gets plaudits on all three speeches.... I think it is over.
