We live in a meritocratic, not Confucian, society
With FL and MI re-votes looking all-but-impossible, some of my friends who are Hillary supporters have resorted to the age argument: that Obama can afford to wait while Hillary cannot. I'm sorry, but that's a pathetic reason to vote for a candidate. I'm sure Hillary would make a fine president, but it's our duty as citizens to vote for the BEST candidate possible. The presidency is not like the Academy Awards: we don't give top prizes as some kind of lifetime achievement award.

Obama, with his speech today, just proved what a transcendental president he could be. With the math against her, Hillary's best hope is for the racist troglodytes to spoil this beautifully historic moment for America. The race crowd has been blessed with Obama; the feminist crowd deserved better than Hillary.

2. "the feminist crowd deserved better than Hillary"
You may get flamed 10 ways from Sunday for that but this feminist agrees. :applause:

It's sad to see my personal icons (Steinem, Jong, Robin Morgan, et al) get suckered by the Clintons and their unrelenting ambition.

3. We Live in a Corrupt Crony Society, Riddled With Addictions Of All Possible Perversions
Hillary has amply demonstrated to the public that she would not be a fine president. In fact, she might even be worse than George--since she has alienated so many of the voters before even facing the voters in a General Election.

We can't afford another massive mistake of a President. And Hillary has 'Mistake' tattooed across her forehead.

And Hillary has just blown her chances for a Lifetime Achievement Award, or any other political office, clear out of the water. She is everything we Democrats despise in a Republican, without the charm.

4. The "race crowd" vs the "feminist crowd"

This is the failure of Hillary's opponent's "movement", how they use race and sex as a weapon. This is hardly a transcendental movement, just an opportunistic one.

5. The Race Crowd Belongs to McCain
because the only thing they hate more than a black man is a woman.

And there are probably many more feminists supporting Obama than Hillary.

Then there is the Peace Movement, which Hillary has sold down the river, repeatedly.

No, I wouldn't lose sleep worrying.
