Today's Speech and the possible effect in the GE
Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 10:39 PM by Johnny__Motown
This is all pure speculation, I admit that up front. Also I am Pro 'Bama so please excuse my bias.

Everyone paying attention to the reaction to Sen. Obama's speech today must have noticed "praise" from the Religious Right. CBN and Bay Buchanan had positive things to say about it (among others).

It seems that Barack's refusal to throw his Pastor "under the bus" has struck a cord with segments of the political opposition. I can only assume that many of them do not agree with all the comments made by their religious leaders and identify with Sen. Obama's position.

My question is: Since the Religious Right does not like McCain to begin with, might some of them stay home instead of being motivated to vote against Obama, who now appears more acceptable to them?

1. "The Nation?"
why is that lumped in with CBN and Bay Buchanan?

As a contrast?

3. I doubt it.

It's a long, long way to Pennsylvania and even further until October (for the surprise) and then another month before November.

I am sure they'll find something else to confirm their already seething hatred.

And they can continue their bitching.
