I believe Senator Clinton wanted to have her name
Edited on Wed Mar-19-08 06:25 AM by In_Transit
to go down in history as the first woman president of the United States and very little else. I also believe she is harboring a sense of entitlement because she is Bill Clinton's wife and deserves the job.
All she accomplished to date is to split the party and give the election to the Republicans. With her "Kitchen Sink" and win at any cost campaign, I'm afraid it's too late.

1. I also have a feeling that she
actually did see Obama's speech yesterday when it aired live (in spite of what she said in her press conference immediately after). She seemed very subdued. Perhaps she was moved by what she heard. Perhaps she now realizes this is not 'politics as usual'. Perhaps she recognizes it is time to take that step for the greater good.

4. I'm sorry, but I honestly believe it's too late to salvage the
election because of all this polarization. I never thought I would say this, but I'm afraid Rush Limbaugh was right on this one.

10. Rush Limbaugh is a cancer in American politics. But he did say
"Help Hillary and the republicans will win the election". He was right, I'm sorry to say.

9. Wanna Bet? Look at the bigger picture -- The time is PERFECT for democrats to win
...and thank goodness Democrats have Barack Obama as their nominee to pull it off...The time couldnt be better for the democrats to win this all.

Sure Hillary has done her best to break the party but i strongly feel that when she is out there will be, for a short time, a divided bunch but when the emotions settle and Hillary begins her unity speech things will beocme more optimistic.

Things will be fine.

11. This would mean Hillary supporters would pick-up where Hillary left off.
It's a long time before November.

5. Now that is what i was thinking -- something about her was diff in that press

I too strongly think she watched the speech too and looked a bit affected by what she saw.
It was very interesting to see her. Her facial expressions were much different.

8. She HAS to win to make her decision to 'stand by her man' to be correct.
She believes that to be elected president will validate her life's decisions including voting for a war that utterly had no reason to it. The dead and maimed and destroyed homes and lives mean nothing to her or to the heartless warmakers. It is the duty of reasoned, intelligent, compassionate peoples to stop them.

3. In every life pursuit
there are the wannabees and the real deals.
And the only thing that separate them are passion, conviction and talent.

14. Sorry
running against someone is not "splitting the party". You guys really have to grow up. She has every right to run for the nomination.

And to claim that her motives are selfish while everybody else who runs does so out of pure intentions is just naive.

15. "I also believe she is harboring a sense of entitlement because she is Bill Clinton's wife..."
Gee, not because she's been repeatedly elected to the Senate?

Did your mom teach you no manners at all?

Why is it you think you can say snotty personal things about someone you've never met?

This is the type of ugly attitude that earns you no love at all.

16. I believe Senator Clinton wants to be President because she thinks she has a lot
to offer our country. To be the first woman President would be historical and I won't deny that being Bill Clinton's wife has given her a lot of name recognition, but I'm not sure it has given her any advantage or sense of entitlement. You may not agree with her tactics, but she has not split the party and given the election to the Republicans. It has been a close and hard fought campaign between two able candidates. We will eventually have a Democratic nominee and most of us will suck it up and support him/her in the GE. We just need to let the process play out and then get to work to do all that we can to insure that the Democrats win this election.
