yesterday, Obama showed he could do two things most Democratic candidates can't:
1. Respond to an attack effectively and to his advantage.

2. Appeal to undecided, independent, and even some conservatives without kicking his base in the nuts.

I'm not seeing Hillary or any of the other corporate Democrats doing the same, and I'm getting sick of so-called Democrats who pander to the far right, are lapdogs to corporate interests, and call actual progressives extremists.

3. I concur. I do hope the OP is correct, however.
If Obama didn't do that with yesterday's speech, then I'll be immensely disappointed with our country and our ability to rational deal broach topics as a whole.
