3. I was there 4 1/2 hours early and there was a line.
That was for the Bangor, ME rally back on Feb 9th. I jumped on line then and wished that I had brought something to sit on. Have fun :hi:

4. Depends on the size of the venue and where you want to be
If you want to be close, I'd shoot for 3-4 hours.

5. We lined up 2 hours ahead to get to the Rally at UCLA
That's the one that had Michelle,Caroline K, Oprah,Stevie Wonder and Maria Shiver as a surprise endorser.

One thing for sure, GO!

The day of the UCLA rally it was pouring down raining.
So many Senior friends of mine were afraid to go.

I did not take my 89 year old Mom but I went and it was thrilling!

The sun came out! We were able to get in and get great seats and we had a ball.

I loved it that all ages, colors were blending into having so much fun together. And their were hundreds of UCLA students.

When you get there early, you get to talk to other supporters, get the signs they pass out, listen to good music and hear lovely speeches.

Seems like they like to surprise the audience so hope you get a surprise that is as much fun as Maria and Stevie.
Go!

6. At least an hour before doors open
And the earlier you get there, the better chance of getting a good spot. Ouch, that's early in the morning.

7. In Denver...
people started lining up at 4:00 a.m. for a 10:00 speech.

Precinct captains and their guests (people who rode with them to the rally) went to a different line and got in immediately. We had 19,000 people show up for an arena that only holds 9,000.

It wound up starting very, very late because Barack spoke to the people who couldn't get in, both in a small gym in the same building and outside on the lacrosse field.

I remember thinking how nice that was, since he had to be exhausted and since it was freezing outside.

9. It depends on the even...
My wife and I went to the Oprah SC event... We went 4 hours before he spoke... about 3 hours before they started seating... and we were in the back half of the line... It really depends on the venue.

10. We were in line 2 hours before the doors were supposed to open.
Worked out well for us, as we ended up standing about 20 feet in front of the stage. :-)

13. Fort Worth
Arrived in line at 5:45. Doors opened at 6:00 and I was in by 6:15, Obama began about 8:15.
People were still streaming in up until 8:00 and the Convention Center was packed with 12,000 people.
