1. I know! An ex-boyfriend of mine introduced me to the phrase about 5 years ago.
I thought it was so funny then. I used it all the time, much to the amusement of my friends. Now, when I hear the likes of Joe Scarborough use it, I cringe. It's like they always say about a popular phrase: As soon as your mom or dad uses it, it's over.

17. Depends on how 'smokeable' those thrown items are...
...and yes I have been known to leave such care packages, complete with rolling papers for the homeless. We have lots of bridges around here.

16. Well he is a troll! Perhaps he can drag his bus under that bridge with him.
btw: I agree, bridges ARE nice. Here is a good one for Senator mCcain to hide under...plenty of fog, his mind will feel right at home too!

19. Getting people to stop using thrown under the bus
Is like trying to make a silk purse out of a pig in the poke after you let the cat out of the bag on the horse you led to water. It just isn't worth two in the hand.

Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 07:18 AM by Snarkturian Clone
which is the single most snooty and obnoxious comment there is. Also, can we get rid of this thing: :eyes: --the kanji for smugness.

OH yeah... can we also cut down on the amount of commas in everyone's posts? Just way too many unnecessary commas around here. Stop describing things with two adjectives and putting commas between them (ex: the white, gay man). It all works just as well without the comma.

29. Can we lose "methinks" and "true dat"? Either we're reliving
the fifteenth century or we're in a Blondie cartoon, we can't do both.
