Why are people saying Indiana is a Clinton state?
The February 17-18 Howey-Gauge poll had these results: Hillary Clinton 26% Barack Obama 47% Uncertain 27%

1. its right next to Illinois

Seems to me Indiana usually goes republican lately anyway. Turning it blue would be a great thing for us Dem's. Do they hold a closed primary I wonder? Indiana may be more of a national indicator than people are noticing. A lot of labor up north so how they break may be the determining factor.

7. If you've won Indiana, you're already winning the election by 15%+.

13. True, but you need to look where the Democrats are
In the Northwest corner there is Lake county. It is the home to steel plants and is VERY Democratic. This county gets Chicago media.

3. Bill Clinton is suddenly very excited about Indiana
Could it be because everyone can vote and the repugs will go for Clinton in the primary just to mess with our elections?

6. Don't forget that historically Indiana is one of the most racist states in the country.

4. It should be a Clinton state
Very white, blue-collar. I was really surprised at the poll that showed Obama leading. But that was a while ago.

5. That was a questionable poll. Extrapolate Western Ohio counties into Indiana.
They are quite similar. The northwest of Indiana is good for Obama and maybe Indianapolis itself, but the rest of it is like rural Ohio. Ask anyone who lives there or who has been there.

8. Because of the dirty-money Senator that's backing her
and whom some think would make an ideal running mate.

9. Its all about the GOAL POSTS ! Bill now has told Indiana that if they vote
for Hillary, yes she CAN win the nomination ! Sound familiar? Of course, if she doesn't, they've already floated that its because Indiana is next to Illinois.
