"Koppel ...spoke with someone from the Pentagon who briefs Clinton, and that she had told this person that if she is elected and reelected, she expects to have troops in Iraq at the end of her second term. Koppel notes that that's 10 years away."

3. That is not what she said. She said she will start bringing them home immediately
Obama's surrogate did say that what he says on the campaign trail is different than what he will do in office. That was your buddy that called Clinton the Monster.

4. Newsflash: We will have troops in some capacity in Iraq for many, many years.

More than ten, no matter who we elect.

We've already had troops there for 18 years.

6. An important point
Since when did anybody but an extreme pacifist fringe minority object to us having troops in Germany or even Korea? Personally I think we could save soem moeny by getting most of them out, but hardly anybody gets all bent out of shape about having troops in those places.

So let's say that Iraq finally sorts itself out (notice I said itself - an imposed solution will never work) and part of that means some stationed US troops just to make sure nothing untoward happens - again just like Korea. Would that be a problem? If so why were so few complaining about Korear before, or even now?

"Trrops in Iraq" and "troops patrolling the streets of Iraq as the de facto army of an impotent puppet regime getting attacked every day while the idiots in charge try to fight vague nouns for the sake of oil access" are two different concepts.

5. So when does the draft start?
And how will America pay for this? Guns or Butter? F**k the poor? I think in ten years there may be revolt in the streets of the US.(This is not aimed at Hillary per se, but to whoever occupies the White House in 2009)
