He was speaking before a group of supporters, made a crack about Kerry - what it was escapes me now but I heard a couple of hawhawhaw laughs in the background and wondered - were those laughs on-mike, i.e. were these shills? Reminds me also of the Michael Moore incident at the Oscars where there were a few VERY LOUD boos, as if there was some effort to send a subluminal message.
