Obama unequivocally denounced Wright's statements
What more else do you want? He empathized with the feelings of even White racists. I don't understand why some people think it wasn't enough. Did you want him to say that racism ended with MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech and that all Blacks are whiners, and that Whites have no advantages in society?

1. Nobody really gives a shit about Wright's statements.
Seriously. This has nothing to do with Jeremiah Wright.

4. I agree. If Wright hadn't been in the picture, they would have found
something else.

2. the problem is the 20 year relationship and he said couldn't denounce him.
Which leads people to believe he may be insincere in his denouncement of his words.

3. Well
maybe these people might consider the possibility that that they are wrong, especially since no one seems to be able to come up with anything Obama actually said himself that even remotely sounds like what Rev. Wright said.

5. Guilt by association
Obama must agree since he didn't hit Wright upside the head and kick him to the curb.

Say it often enough and enough people will believe it. Kind of like the Saddam/9-11 link. Repeat often enough and just enough people will buy it as to swing the support your way.

Still doesn't make it true.

6. Zzzz
:boring: It appears that 20yr relationship didn't effect Obama at all, since you can not find any quotes by Obama reflecting the comments of Rev. Wright.

7. Was HRC supposed to renounce Bill when he cheated on her?
That was about more than words -- that was about what he DID.

You don't throw the baby out with the bathwater; if you're a CHRISTIAN,
you believe in forgiveness (and put it into action).

8. The problem is people who demonize someone over a few moments of their life
People that go to Trinity say such comments by Wright are an extreme rarity. Most of Wright isn't like that at all, which anyone can tell by looking into the matter. Unfortunately, the Fourth Estate isn't doing its job.
