Reverend Wright = Gennifer Flowers? What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
It's clear at this point that the Reverend Wright thing isn't going to kill Obama's candidacy, any more than Gennifer Flowers killed Bill Clinton's.

Obama has proven he can weather attacks and scandals and continue on. He may actually win more votes as a result of this scandal. You see all kinds of posts, not just on DU, but other places, where people who weren't that into Obama or were supporting other candidates, even other parties, saw the race speech and have switched sides.

People who said that Obama wasn't vetted or couldn't take a punch have been proven wrong, and Pennsylvania is still a whole month away.

4. Why wouldn't I support Hillary? Hillary Clinton is electable. Her opponent is not.

7. Getting the nomination and winning the GE are two very different, if not
diametrically opposed animals.

2. More than Gennifer Flowers.
Clinton didn't have the remarkable speech after Flowers.

9. ROSS H PEROT
We won that election because of PEROT!!!

My late father was a hardcore GOP, and Clinton hater he voted for Perot in 1992. Regretted it to the day he died last year.

Democrats got 43% of the vote...43%

So unless you know of a crazy rich guy with a personal grudge against John S. McCain that is going to come in and rescue us by siphoning off 18% of the vote....we really need to not dismiss the way the media is twisting this.

I fully support Obama but anyone who thinks this is going to make us stronger is nuts. We need to figure out how to overcome this by November.

12. Obama has beaten the scandal, even turned it to his advantage. How does that not make him stronger?
That said, I see your point about Perot. Bill Clinton never got as high a percentage as Kerry or Gore. That should tell us all something about Clinton electability.

15. Oh, don't you and I both know it.
I don't think they'll call it before Pennsylvania, but ultimately I think everyone in the Party establishment has seen enough of the Clinton strategy and divisiveness, not to mention polls, data, etc. to see what a disaster Hillary will be in the general, or hell, even in the White House, should she miraculously get there.
