Hypocritical Double Standard of Preachers

I feel a large sense of shame to wards anyone, republican, democrat, or independent who attacks Obama because of his minister. Wright at least keeps his angry and offensive tirades in his sermons only. No one should cast stones here if they have not cast those who have been with or been supported by the likes of Falwell or Robertson. They spread their hate outside into politics.

Even then I don't approve of attacks on candidates, they have no control over what other people say or do. They can like Obama did publicly refute and chastise them if they feel needed. Now people may yell out why didn't he do this earlier. Maybe he did it privately, I don't know if he did but I do know that would be the first thing to do anyway.

I am disgusted by Opinion writers like Colter who attack Obama because of his affiliation, and those from any party who parrot those types of attacks. Is it just that it's ok if a white man of god does it, or is it just ok when a man supporting a republican does it?

I'd like to think we can have high standards for all politicians, there should not be this double standard between parties. An action should just be disgusting, or morally reprehensible by it's nature we should not need to check which party is affiliated with the act. I personally don't think anyone should attack anyone from any party just because their friend preaches hate, it is only when that politician joins in on the hate or promotes it's nature we should show them our fury.
