I know why some on DU think passport is no big deal
Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 08:06 PM by gabeana
because their worried Obama might be portrayed as a victim plus it just might push the Wright controversy off MSM. I could very well be wrong on the wright statement but certain people are/were salivating over the "Typical Whitepeople" comment. I'm sure they were hoping it will be all over MSM tomorrow

3. leaking the passport information raises questions.
Who?

Why?

With what effect?

Once those questions are answered I might venture an opinion about its significance.

Until then I'm curious.

5. As Teddy Roosevelt said...
Nothing in politics happens by coincidence.

(paraphrase)

Which leads me to want to understand how the Obama campaign got the Bush administration to leak this now.

Olbermann used Drudge as his source tonight.

Strange days indeed.

6. The two people were subcontractors, and they were summarily fired.
So while some Obama supporters here might hope that it has legs, it won't have legs unless some higher conspiracy is discovered, otherwise it will be written off.

The whole race thing is far more entertaining and profitable.

18. Oh, it has legs alright and some more heads are going to roll.
A lowly supervisor made the call that it was just imprudent curiosity and nothing more. The Inspector General and higher-ups just found out today. It is political. It is super important. The real investigation begins now.

I don't know why some Hillary supporters are trying to down-play this.

21. Maybe, maybe not...it'll take some time to see how it develops
and until it does, the MSM will be all over it. By the time they run it into the ground who knows what will be popping up to replace it.

9. of course that is the reason because a few HRC supporters thought that milking Wright
is more important than this security breach. I think most HRC supporters think other wise.

10. THere are Hillary supporters and Righties all over the country who tonight
are very saddened by the loss of their "guilt by association" smear.

It was such a great, fun week full of feigned outrage.

*sigh*

It was dumb to have something in common with hardcore freepers anyway. (kicks a rock)

11. Two words.
"Clinton Supporters". Until today, I was all for either Clinton or Obama as President. I think I'm starting to change my mind, thanks to what I've been seeing of Hillary's supporters these past few months. I know the truth when I see it, but some people will lie or embrace the lie because what they see and hear doesn't fit what they want to be the truth. I don't think that I'm even in the same party as those who are saying this violation of Obama's records is "No big deal."

25. Drudges has the picture of Wright with Bill Clinton on his website...I heard.....
as well another photo documenting that Wright was at LBJ's bedside when he had his heart attack.

I think that Wright is about to be portrayed as a real person, and not just a 1/5 of a person.

leads me to think that they worry that Hillary is behind it. No one has accused her, I'm sure it was Bush people but they seem overly concerned.

Edit: left out a word
