No Edwards Endorsement on Leno

John Edwards just finished up taping his appearance on Jay Leno tonight -- it hasn't aired yet. The fact that he was appearing on the show prompted many to wonder whether he would use the appearance to endorse Hillary or Obama.

The answer: Nope. He didn't endorse either, according to Leno's publicist, Tracy St. Pierre, who emails me this:

No news...it was a catching up interview, but he didn't throw his support either way.
So no Edwards endorsement for now.

1. I can't imagine that he'd do something so tacky as endorsing any candidate on Leno.

12. I was trying to remember without doing a search

what exactly politico claimed to "scoop"...after a big hullaballoo.
I can't remember what it was but it was pretty telling about their "sources".
And yeah...Tweety only wishes he had the inside sources.
I just could not in any shape, form or fashion see Edwards endorsing anyone at this point.
It doesn't make any sense.

8. All I have to say is THANK GOD.

I supported that man's candidacy 100% and respect his opinion greatly. Since his exit I have come to support Obama. The rumors today of a possible endorsement of Hillary made me queasy.

While I am in the WGAS category as to endorsements (although disappointed at the time with Carolyn Kennedy -- that did impress me), they need to be handled with some dignity and a late night, sans-Candidate endorsement is just tacky.
