Just got back from my first Obama rally in Beckley, W.Va.
What an event!

A great speech. Q&A with the audience with insightful answers. Pretty detailed plans on a variety of issue laid out.

Then I turn on the radio on the drive home.
And it's "Rev. Wright said..." "All he says is change..." "Hussein, Hussein, Hussein" "He's too young"

God I hate the media.

No matter what your candidate. The fact that our elections are covered like this should disgust anyone.

1. I'm glad you had just an
inspiring time..I don't listen to the m$$$m and haven't since Nov 2002.

They're like mentally challenged jackals at a frenzied feeding in the zoo.

Not worth listenig to.

2. Disgusted Indeed.....
I'm right there with you. I only watch Countdown, and listen to AAR anyway, I can't imagine ever listening to RW talk radio. Just from the clips, I hear on occasion, that's just not a cesspool in which I wish to delve.

I'm jealous you got to attend a rally. When he breezed through NC, those tickets were snapped up in a matter of hours.

7. I'd say 2,500-3,000
and for Beckley, prinarily white town deep within the southern coalfields of WV, that says something

He was in Charleston this morning, but it was just a quick policy speech to a small crowd. tickets went quick.

8. That's fantastic! It is a lot of people for Beckley.
Thanks - I attended a town hall meeting here in San Antonio. :hi:

5. Saw the stream on CNN...sounded like the atmosphere was great
Lots of enthusiasm, right? Definitely a healthy break from the 24/7 pastorbation fest.
