Having trouble understanding this
Clinton supporters say if we don't count Michigan and Florida, we will be disenfranchising a bunch of voters.

Obama supporters say if he goes into the convention with a lead, it would be horrible if the superdelegates ended up giving the nomination to Clinton.

Doesn't the Democratic party have the right to choose the nominee in any way they see fit? If it's their rules that Michigan and Florida shouldn't count, or that the superdelegates can choose who they want, don't they have those rules for the best interests of the party? It's not in the Democrats best interests for McCain to be president, so I think the candidate with the best chance of beating him will be the one to get the nomination. If the party were to decide they wanted to change the rules of the whole game at the convention, wouldn't they be able to throw out all results if they wanted and say we as a party nominate Mickey Mouse to run as president on the Democratic ticket? It still doesn't stop Joe Citizen from voting for who they want does it?
