It seems like every show has one or the other on, spewing this crap. This morning
I awakened to Scabrous on "Today" (they're bleeding over into network NBC now!) and
expect to see Bat :puke: Annan again on Abrams' "Verdict" before the evening is over.

I only heard that if he wins Indiana (and I guess NC -- didn't hear that), it
was going to be over for her. Did he give any background as to why he thinks
it'll be over for HIM at that point? He'll still have more pledged delegates;
was it something to do with the SDs getting scared over the Wright mess?

21. He didn't elaborate...I think though he was basing it
on a hypothetical implosion of support of Obama from White voters. Make no mistake, Obama has taken a shot over the past week...but I don't see it as something he can't recover from. I mean, the polls are kinda all over the place. Some show that Obama lost ground, others show him regaining ground. I really think we have to wait over the next few weeks before we make comments like that. Which is why I thought what Todd said was kinda baffling.

59. Hmmm. Didn't hear Todd, but
I'm absolutely floored at a mention of Indiana being so decisive. I've lived there most of my life and never felt my vote in the primary would have any effect--it's always before been over by that time.

Plus, Republicanism seems to be the default loyalty for most Indiana residents. I hope that's changed, but...?

I'm curious to see if the Dem party allows it to last that long. But I can see why they might and if so, why Todd's argument makes some sense.

30. Pat basically said he thinks it's going to be an issue for the rest of the entire campaign
I agree more with Eugene who said the story just doesn't have any lasting power because it's been talked up to death already and eventually we have to move to another story. Pat is the one who would love to keep bringing it up every chance he gets...and in his perfect world it would be a major story every day...but that's just not going to happen. Case in point being today where the issue was barely talked about in the media outside of a "week in review" type of statement.

David,

If you are going to run your new show with dignity and honor than you need to force Pat Buchanon to explain exactly what he means by saying the Wright situation “Ghettoizes him (Obama)…” It’s a disgrace that this thing is still an issue and it’s an even bigger disgrace that a coward like Buchanon has to use code words to get his point across.

Force him to be accountable for his racism. Force him to explain exactly what he means by the that comment.

Do the right thing.

36. In defense of Pat Buchanan... (please read before flaming)
I don't agree with the vast majority of what Buchanan opines, but I do respect him as an interviewer. Usually he comes prepared to the table, he doesn't interrupt, he actually asks questions and doesn't pose his own opinion as a question to a guest, and he has brilliant insight.

However, for the first time a few weeks ago I saw him totally lose it. It was on MSNBC, one of the Olberman-led election coverages. I have since seen him twice lose it on MSNBC.

This is not like him. However, there is mental illness in his family. His sister, Bay, is seriously unbalanced. One of his brother's broke into a Clinton associate's garage and trashed a vehicle.

Anyway, I think there is something about this election that really has him agitated.

Anyway, just my perspective on Buchanan.

61. I think we need to hear conservative opinion
Buchanan--before this election--was very professional. He was dignified in a field where pundits routinely talk over each other, interrupt, and scream at each other. He presented his ideas by making sound, logical arguments.

I think we cannot let ourselves get too in-bred by listening only to liberal voices. We need to hear the conservative side, and I would rather hear it from someone dignified like Buchanan than smirking Scarborough or Mr. ad hominem himself, Tucker Carlson.

Just my opinion...your mileage may vary.

60. I did research on Lori Klausutis's ME's background
Lori Klausutis was an aide in Scarborough's Florida office who was murdered and the murder was covered up. Scarborough could not account for his whereabouts during the murder time period.

The ME who did the postmortem, Michael Berkland, D.O., said she'd died from natural causes which cuased her to fall, hitting the edge of a desk. As I recollect the postmortem, to do this she would have had to have fallen from a ladder because the blow was on the top of her head. She also would have had to have bounced ten feet away, because that is where her body was and she did not crawl there nor was she drug there; the blood pooled right where she fell. The "natural cause"? A heart arrhythmia. Lori was a freaking MARATHONER. She had no history of heart arrhythmia (although Berkland at one point lied to the press and said she did).

I did an extensive background on Dr. Berkland.

Michael Berkland is a piece-of-shit fixer. That means his medical opinion and judgments are for sale. He "fixes" things for people so they aren't convicted by concocting a medical story to prove they are innocent.

I have a stack of records over 12" thick on him and his botched cases. I spent a week talking to the licensing agencies and county officials in Missouri, the state where Berkland lost his medical practice. They all wanted to talk about him.

Then I was given a copy of a handwritten letter. It was written by the mother-in-law of a young wife and mother who had died of a perforated uterus (botched D&C in a hospital). The ME (not Berkland) said she died of "natural causes." So the husband and his mother (the woman who wrote the letter) contracted with Dr. Berkland to do an independent postmortem on the woman. He took their money then kept stalling them and stalling them. Finally, they insisted on him releasing the body so they could bury her. In the meantime Berkland had been fired as ME in Missouri and, after he left, he snuck back in and took this young woman's BRAINS.

They had to go get a court-order to get them from him. When the marshall went to pick up the brains, Berkland took him out to his car, and they were in the fucking BACK SEAT in a jar.

He had lied so often when testifying as an ME in Missouri that cases ended up being overturned because of his perjury. He would testify to exonerate the police when they had screwed something up so bad that someone ended up dead. He's a fixer.

So that he was able to, with this history, get a job in Florida is highly suspicious. I called the osteopath who headed Florida's version of the medical board and asked him why a man who was in the process of losing his licence to practice in Missouri was given license to practice in Florida, and he was very vague and evasive.

Did I mention that Berkland was an intern at Fort Leavenworth medical hospital during the time Bush Jr was in the service? I never could make a connection, but I still think about it. It's just one of those hinky coincidences that stands out.

So when, months later, I heard Scarborough laugh about Lori's death--I cried.

She was in the prime of her life. She was murdered in Scarborough's office. And, not only does he get off scott-free, without even an investigation, but he then LAUGHS about it?

48. Damn. I guess Obama has lost the hopeless bigot vote.
This guy has been hating minorities since before Obama was born. His overt bigotry should have made him taboo for serious news programs. Too bad we have so few of those.

56. It really is getting atrocious.
It's not just racism but sexism, but I refused to admit that this could possibly be going on until recently, so maybe others will get it too, and rebel. It's disgusting beyond words.
