Third Post: Misc. for Anyone out of Posts: One Rule:
ONLY POST if you have either something POSITIVE to say about a Democratic member or something NEGATIVE about McCain or the Republican Party.

Since I often run out of posts due to the third post rule, I thought it might help to designate one for everyone else in the same predicament. Please keep it pleasant as possible.

2. I don't even bother with initiating posts in this forum.
Anything remotely reasonable will sink in the morass of crazy; anything that's at all favourable to either remaining Democratic candidate will quickly become a target for supporters of the OTHER candidate who care about nothing more, at this point, than tearing the other side down. This forum has gotten to be largely a waste of time, because there's not much in the way of positivity to be found.

3. I still have my 3 posts.
I think we should be able to save them and let them accumulate as we don't post our limit each day.

4. Polls: Most are owned by Republican Companies
It is easy to skew polls to show results favoring a candidate. I believe this is happening with the McCain versus Either Democratic Candidate. One way they do this is to contact Registered Democratic voters for Democratic questions and only registered Republicans for Republican answers. I would guess if we looked into the methods utilized in these polls we would find skewed results.

Think about it - how many Republicans did you know in 2004 that crossed the line to vote for John Kerry? This is four years later - you think they are still Republicans? No, I don't think so. So, of the remaining few Republicans, they can find support for McCain and might find 55 percent of the Republicans willing to support McCain over either of our candidates. Trouble is... they can't find 55% of respondents overall willing to vote McCain over either of our candidates. So relax a bit everyone, things are not as bad as you may think. Never stop working, never give up, but realize the results are often skewed.

6. I got a poll from Zogby today...
But the main focus was on cars...

They had a lot of questions on the Kia...

I don't recall getting a poll from them on the primaries, though.

7. I never start threads: anyone wishing to purchase my allotment of posts ...
may message me with the text they wish to post: my fee structure is available on request. Discounts available for posts with which I personally agree; surcharge added for posts with which I disagree, or which have an excess of grammatical errors or lapses in logic. I don't do polls.

Sorry, in tough economic times, we have to scrape up any little sources of income we can find. (This is a joke, of course.)

12. Oh boy....19 minuntes before I can start a new thread....
Should it be a poll?
A statement about the Democratic Party?
A statement about the GE?
A statement about GE's involvement in the GE?

Hmmmmmmmm the time clock is ticking, what should I waste my next post on?

15. If you click on the pollsters name
it will take you to a PDF which outlines the methodology of the poll. One difference I have seen is the size of the polling group, another is the groups polled. Some are only polling previously registered Democratic voters which doesn't address the ones who recently registered for Obama, nor the ones who have switched parties due to waking up and realizing they are no longer Republicans. Remember the droves of people who switched Nov 04? They would (probably) be listed at the time of those polls as Republicans not Democratic members so therefore, they wouldn't be included in the polls. The other differences could be attributed to the dates of the polling. I see nothing recent in those polls.

19. I have looked at the polls but it doesn't really account for why is the
difference in PA so much greater than other states.

20. The news media
said PA is more conservative than the other states - I don't buy that. I would rather wait until new polls are taken but I do think it could be that Hillary was more well known there - I am guessing the polls will change.

Anyone else have any explanation for the wide gap?

16. Nice post. I want to be able to follow these rules, but I get so damned PISSED sometimes
that I can't take the high road. Emotions overcome me, and I put my worst foot forward... It happens almost every time I come on DU. That's why I asked the admins to ban me.
