Ed Rendell's hypocrisy
Edited on Sun Mar-23-08 02:19 PM by Fighting Irish
As I read this article, I immediately noticed one particular part, where Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell criticized Bill Richardson, as well as Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, for their endorsement of Barack Obama. Here goes:

...Rendell also accused the Obama camp of contradicting itself in another way that Richardson's endorsement highlights.

"First, they say the superdelegates should reflect the will of the people of their states. Well, we have Sen. Kennedy and Sen. Kerry saying they're going to vote for Obama even though Sen. Clinton won by 13 points in Massachusetts. ... The voters of New Mexico chose Sen. Clinton. If we follow the Obama line, Bill Richardson should be for Sen. Clinton."

"Yes, but, Eddie, by half a percent -- come on," Richardson responded, in a reference to the slight margin by which Clinton won New Mexico.

In a February interview with The New York Times, Richardson discussed how superdelegates should vote. "It should reflect the vote of my state, it should represent the vote of my constituency," he told the newspaper at the time.

So, it's wrong for Richardson, Kennedy and Kerry to go against their state, but Rendell made his endorsement long before the primary? Earth to Ed Rendell: Your state hasn't even voted yet!

:wtf:

1. Ed Rendell was even scarier when he spoke on Bill Mahr
Edited on Sun Mar-23-08 02:20 PM by truedelphi
He said that superdelegates are there to bring sense to the equatiomn.

That experience was what counted, and that even if the "People" vote for"The cheerleader" it was good that the superdelegates could rein in "the people's" stupidity.

The way that he said "People" he might have as well said "trailer trash"
And probably "single wide" trailer trash.

This man is one of the more malignant poxes I have ever seen speaking in this country.

3. Not only that, but Fast Eddie is fast controlling the SD votes here
Quite a few pet projects were put "on hold" by Harrisburg prior to "endorsements" being announced.

One that truly irks me is in the western part of the state where an Obama supporter announced for Hillary in order to get stadium funds/permissions released.

8. Sounds like how Fast Eddie operates.
Though I didn't know that, it could explain the uncomfortable position my congressman has worked himself into.

If you have more details on this and for some reason don't want to post, would you pm me?

4. Rendell was calling out the Obama campaign on ITS wording. HE hasn't opined similarly.

Thus, no hypocrisy on his part.
It's really quite simple.

12. Read my comments on what this thug said on Bill Mahr (Above)
We The People don't count.

We the People want a "cheerleader" without the "experience" that this nation needs.

Good thing that superdelegates like Ed Rendell beleive in Doemocracy <sarcastically meant>

It sounds so elite, but what else in new for a Hillary supporter??

7. Yeah - it is ironic that Fast Eddie and Mixmaster Mike endorsed Hillary before the election.
What will the Nutjob do when Philly votes for Obama? Will he still complain that Richardson or Kerry or Kennedy didn't pledge to Clinton? :eyes:
