Just say NO to Hillbots
Yes, I'm talking to you, Obama supporters! It is time to retire 'Hillbot,' 'Billary,' 'Shrillary,' and all of the other epithets I see thrown around on this board.

In honor of the 'let it sink' philosophy, it is time for us to clean up our own act. I pledge not to use nasty epithets about Senator Clinton, accuse people of being paid members of the Clinton campaign, trolls, or to make other divisive statements about our fellow Democrats, even if they don't agree with my choice of candidate.

How about you, fellow Obama supporters? Are you willing to take the NO HILLBOTS pledge?

6. I wish we could remember that this is DU.
That we are here to support Democrats, not to tear each other down.

I wish we could think ahead to what our candidate will need from us.

I wish this was over. It's not. But, can't we do better than this?

The trolls that have created havoc here are mostly gone. Can we focus up on thinking and sharing info with each other again?

This is DU. We fight hard and mean but we also pull together like no group I've ever seen.

Can we please be DU?

8. I'm not a toddler, therefore I don't use that sort of childish namecalling.
I hope everyone decides to become a little more mature in their description of the different supporters.

17. Please re-read the OP.
I grant you, I almost didn't even open it because of the subject line. But then I thought I'd post something about how it's really disgusting to call either side names.

Then I read the OP.

12. Unfortunately...
...the title of your post may lead many of those in the Hillary Camp to think this post is about something quite different than it really is, and I suspect many of them will tally it up as another denigrating use of the term you are in fact calling for a retirement of without bothering to look inside and see what's happening.

But as to the content, absolutely on board as I have been from the beginning.

15. I've been guilty of this in the past.
I haven't used these epithets for some time, though. In my defence, I only ever used them to refer to the more obnoxious Clinton supporters, without meaning to imply that all Clinton supporters were like that. In future, I will just call a troll a troll, as both sides have them.

16. I've NEVER used any of those names
on this board and I NEVER will. I know most people on both sides refrain from the childish name calling, it's only a few who can't seem to control themselves. :-(
