Who is really more electable?
So we have this point about who is more electable to the general voting population between Obama and Clinton. I want to assert that its by far Obama...I just got back from a family get together with two relatives who while both are generally democratic voters (although fairly moderate) and like Obama, told me that they would rather vote for MCCAIN than for Clinton. That did surprise me.
I have heard comments like this from other sources as well.
I will vote for Clinton, of course if she is given the nod, but I think that if she is nominated she doesn't have a chance if the negatives are so high amoung DEMOCRATS.

1. Barack Obama
will be the democratic nominee, and will win the presidential election.

3. I am an Obama supporter but will vote for Clinton if she is
the nominee by winning the nomination fairly. However, if Obama has the most pledged delegates and popular votes and then the super delegates turn around and give the nomination to Clinton instead of Obama, then I will sit out the election. I really think the supers must go with the voters. I don't want 800 supers over-ruling the voting citizens. It's too much like what the Supreme Court did to Gore in 2000.

5. Even if the rules allow it to happen
it shouldn't. It will destroy the party if the front-runner is aced out of the nomination. Not everything that is legal is ethical, and I think we have a case of that here.

6. I've yet to find anyone who will vote for Obama in the GE where I live.

I've seen one Obama yard sign in the past 4 months, and my husband and I drive around different neighborhoods a lot because we're looking for a new home.

eta: In the Latino communities here the yard signs are about 75% Clinton to 25% McCain. Many will vote McCain if Clinton isn't on the ticket.

9. No, he's not. There has been much talk that he could lose his Senate seat next time around too.
This state isn't as red as it once was. Many have relocated here from the North and brought their blue values with them.
