If I never hear from Bill or Hillary Clinton again for the rest of my life
Edited on Sun Mar-23-08 10:39 PM by dkf
it would be too soon.

Words cannot express how great my dislike has grown. They have sown seeds of division and this country will be the one who pays, all for their selfish unworthy ambition.

I no longer have a single ounce of goodwill for them and will dance in the streets the moment she withdraws.

Edit: Thanks for correcting my grammar!

4. You think McCain is old now but he'll be even older in 2012. I bet he wouldn't even run for a 2nd

term. Then there will be an open field in 2012 and there is Hillary's last great hope.

In fact, I won't doubt that a lot of Hillary lovers on this board will go this way too. I hear one got tombstoned for saying something like this just the other day.

6. Hmmmm Could it be 2012?
Here are the facts;

1. She has lost.
2. A damaged Obama loses to McCain.
3. If Obama wins the GE she will have to wait 8 years. That is too long for her.
4. McCain will be too old on 2012 to be re-elected.
5. They will have 4 years to repair her image.

This is the only thing that makes sense. Why raise up McCain and tear down Obama you ask?

The answer is 2012.

9. The only way to get rid of her is to make sure Obama wins the Presidency.
Otherwise she will be back attacking the next Dem candidate and pulling us through the mud yet again.

If NAFTA, DOMA, and the rest weren't enough for you, then
all you would really need to know about the Clintons is
that our practive of extraordinary rendition (illegally
sending prisoners out of the country to be totured by
third parties) originated in the Clinton administration:

http://www.aclu.org/safefree/extraordinaryrendition/22203res20051206.html

"The current policy traces its roots to the administration of
former President Bill Clinton."

35. None of that adds up to support for the presumptive Republican nominee
that's simply a ridiculous contention- and people who don't know better than that are either ignorant or delusional. Take your pick.

37. No, for that you have to listen to Hillary's own speech.
And yes, I'm of the opinion that she has endorsed McCain
several times while pissing on Obama. Just an opinion,
mind you, but an ever-more-widely held one.

16. I think we're seeing why it's a terrible idea for an ex-President to campaign in the primaries.
Bill Clinton has abandoned the de facto role of an ex-President as a unifying force in his own party, probably permanently. It's bad enough that he's (understandably, considering it's his spouse) chosen a side, but even worse that he's taken any negative tone whatsoever regarding other candidates. His role, if any at all, should have been very carefully managed and kept solely upbeat ... and it's been mismanaged. I personally regard that as another indication that the Clinton campaign is very weak on nuance, and the ephemerals like values and character.

Indeed, if an ex-President sees his 'rightful' role as one that doesn't permit him to blow the whistle on the criminality and abuses of the current regime, I can't see how he can take license to engage in a primary in the fashion he has. It just doesn't map to the hierarchy of moral imperatives I live by, and I'm as against partisanship as one can get.

Imho, you're exactly right. An elder statesman shouldn't be mud wrestling. It degrades both him and the office.

Now all his efforts are for naught. He has slid back into the mud slop.

20. The funny thing is, I believe that Hillary Clinton's run
was GOOD for us as a nation. It was about time a woman ran and kicked @ss.

Unfortunately, the Clintons have issues. I can't think of a more talented couple who are more self destructive. It's a shame.

24. Hillary has exposed herself to be morally unfit to be a senator,
much less a President.

It is my opinion that they have both been corrupted by wealth, power, and fame.

It is like a Shakespearean tragedy. Once good people turned into power-craving cretins.

26. I'm expecting them to call me on Thursday
and wish me a happy birthday. I'm sure that's gonna happen. Yeah, that's the ticket.

But it's like my comment about "Star Search". I said 'we don't need to find any more 'stars'. We need some way to hide the ones we already have - Paris, Britney, OJ, etc.' Might say the same about many of our elected officials.

36. That is a shame. She and her husband have done such
great things for our country. It appears that you are putting all sorts of characteristics and qualities on her that belong elsewhere.

What a shame you have dehumanized her to the point of pathology.
