Bill Clinton will be in my backyard (literally) in 3 hours!
Bill Clinton will be here in my little town of 20-30k for a rally! This is the first time any bigtime politician has ever come to my town in my lifetime! The school he'll be at is only yards away from my house. All the media are here and a black helicopter just flew over my house! Even though I'm for Obama, this is VERY exciting! The cars are lining up and I'll be there soon!

2. Where in Indiana? I'm in Kokomo
I remember when, then Gov., Reagan came here back in '80. The school he visited closed a few years later. Kinda poetic 'eh?

17. Lincoln Middle School on either Lafayette Drive or Berry Lane.
You could probably mapquest it. Come in through Galveston, Walton on 35 and turn right on 18th Street over the bridge. Then turn right on JEfferson up the hill to Sunset Drive. You'll be able to see 3 schools, the high school, the middle school, and an elementary school through the houses. Turn right or left at Sunset and keep turning on roads going towards the schools you'll see. You can't miss it, especially with all the media around! ;-)

because it's so second nature to me!

You better hurry, the parking lot is filling up fast right now with lots of honkers!

9. Finally! I think the Dems around have given up because
we never seem to count for much in the primaries, and usually in the GE because this is such a red state. This is just what is needed.

7. He was here about 6 weeks ago
And even though I was an Edwards supporter at the time, I went to hear Bill. They asked for my name and phone number at the door. I willingly gave the info. Next morning I got a call from the Hillary campaign asking for a donation or if I wanted to volunteer. I said I was an Edwards supporter. The girl on the phone said "But you attended a Hillary campaign event and gave your phone number" I said I had gone to hear Bill Clinton speak, a former president who gives about the best political stump speech of any of our current politicians. She said "But you gave us your phone number!" I said they asked for it before the would let me in. Then she asked again if I would contribute to the campaign. She actually said she didn't understand why I would attend a Hillary campaign event if I didn't support Hillary. I repeated that I went to hear Bill and I was supporting Edwards. And she HUNG UP ON ME.

One of the many reasons I chose Obama over Hillary.

So my advice to you is - give them a fake phone number at the door. :)

13. At least they didn't make you sign a support oath like Obama did when Oprah was on tour with him.
How soon we forget about those facts...

23. Obama has been here twice in the past year and I didn't have to sign a thing to get in,
or call ahead for tickets either. So there goes your story.

Besides, that is very common practice in campaigns. Are you a newbie to political campaigns?

Anyhow, I didn't mind at all giving my number. It was the snotty attitude from the campaign worker who called me that concerned me. More of that attitude of entitlement from Hillary's supporters. And they used my cell phone minutes for it. That is all the donation her campaign will be receiving from me.

26. Well, my Repub friends wanted me to walk in wearing a blue dress
and a brunette wig. Funny thought but I am too much of a serious and respectful person to do something like that! I don't really care about his personal life or any politcian's sex life for that matter.

25. YEah, I wondered if I should wear my Obama pin "Hope" but
I'm a little more respectful I guess. I probably won't. It's bad enough living in such a Republican-dominated town, I wouldn't want to desecrate any major Dem politician's attempt to come here. I am very thankful and appreciative no matter who it would be. Nobody ever comes here.

16. Very Cool!
Maybe someone from the secret service will ask to use your bathroom.

In all seriousness, I hope you have a good time, and get to meet the man. The closest I've ever come to meeting a big-name politician was listening to Rick Santorum speak at a meeting of environmentalists (no shit) and seeing Ted Kennedy walking down the street outside the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.

His head is even bigger in real life than it looks on TV.

30. This is an excellent example of why people need to LET THE DEM. PROCESS PLAY OUT!
It is GREAT that people in many states have had the opportunity to listen, to speak, and to be heard this year. The benefits of a true 50 state strategy far outweigh the costs of any media-fanned controversy. It is NOT going to hurt the Dems. in the general. It will make us stronger.

Have a great time at the rally!
