We got married at Castle Island, which isn't really an island anymore. It's the site of a Revolutionary War fort on the shore of Boston Harbor. :)

29. lol! Hurricane Hugo took my (and my future first husband's) job.

it was much tougher then. We had no running water for 3 months, no power. We would put out trash cans to catch rainwater to "shower" and flush the toilet. We had a cistern, and the salt water got into it from the storm, so we had to drain it and wait for it to fill again.

Then I got pregnant, hubby got a job in Florida, so we moved.

It was great for a young, single person. The best experience ever! I bartended, and was a waitress and worked on a dive boat. What heaven for a 22 year old.

I think it would be tough to raise a famiy there, though.
