Does Hillary remind anyone else of Daniel Plainview?
She does does to me. Greedy, power-hungry, and willing to do anything to anyone who stands in her way.

"I look at people and I see nothing worth liking. I see the worst in people. I have a competition in me, I want no one else to succeed. I can't keep doing this on my own, with these um, "people"."

1. Hmmm...
"power-hungry, and willing to do anything to anyone who stands in her way"

Doesn't that describe just about all major successful politicians, including BO?

I think so.

14. That old RW meme again??! "They ALL do it!!"
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 04:24 PM by ClassWarrior
"They're ALL criminals!!"

Except real Progressives know that there are plenty of true public servants in office - usually on the left - who do what they do out of love for their country and dedication to their fellow citizens.

No, they're not all criminals, but the RW still advances that meme to make their own crimes seem routine.

Curious that this is at least the third or fourth time in two days that this meme has been thrown at Obama...

NGU.

20. Ah, but it's true. BO is crazy to win. Let him help MI and FL revote and I will believe otherwise.

3. And that's why I support her.
Who better to keep the Republicans in line for the next 8 years?

Obama is a good guy, but he's way too conciliatory toward the Republicans. He wants to "reach across the aisle" -- a noble intention, but at this point in American history, we Democrats need to be able to reach across the aisle with a baseball bat if and when we have to.

First, got Hillary to kick about 500 GOP neo-Con drones off the Circuit courts and get some progressive legislation passed. THEN let Obama transform us into a utopia.

Sixteen years. It sounds like a good start.

16. I must disagree
I honestly do not think that Hillary will pass anything that is really progressive. She is in too deep with the entrenched powers in Washington to ever rock the boat like that.

She might bring home some of the troops from Iraq, but IIRC, she was all for keeping a large presence there to protect the new embassy.

It is just my opinion, but I can't see much change happening if she would get in.

4. Another damned movie that just "ended"
I hated that movie... the end at least, almost as much as I hated how No Country for Old Men ended.

They didn't end, they just stopped.

Hey! Maybe Hillary should take a cue from them after all.

9. What? I loved the ending!
I can understand one disliking the extreme anti-climax that was the ending of NCFOM, but that ending was most certainly NOT an anti-climax.
