It gets your attention. You tend to remember the details.

It's like a slow motion movie where you can remember every single detail down to what the guys shooting at you were wearing.

5. I was a teller when our bank was robbed by gunpoint...
Guy jumped over the counter and pointed the gun at each of our heads. He shot into the ceiling twice. Thought it was over.

Believe me. Twenty-seven years later, I remember every moment of it, right up to when I nearly fainted when he escaped out the door.
