What are the Hillary supporters answers to these problems?
You know that you are unlikely to change my mind about the former first lady but you have to address these problems for possible Clinton supporters and (assuming the age of miracles is not past) Clinton voters in a GE.

1) Her IWR vote where she claims that she did not know that a vote for the use of force would actually authorise the use of force

2) Her Kyle-Lieberman vote, which declared part of the uniformed armed services of a sovereign nation to be a terrorist organisation. Like the IWR she claims that this is only to put "pressure" on Iran despite making it legal under US law to launch pre-emptive attacks against those "terrorists"

3) Her employment of Mark Penn who is being paid $5m for being a part-time member of her campaign

3) Her employment of James Carville, who betrayed Kerry and has (presumably with Hillary's consent) called Bill Richardson a "Judas"

4) Her mismanagement of campaign finance which has resulted in her needing to give a loan to her campaign, subsequent large campaign debt and current shortage of funds

5) Her connection with Norman Hsu and his tainted money

6) Her and her husband seemingly regarding McCain as a better choice for president than her Democratic opponent

7) Her and her husband using racial stereotyping to attack her Democratic opponent (see various History New Network items will try to put links in later currently the site is down)

8) Her misspeak - what others would call lie - about her Bosnia trip

9) Her overstatement of her involvement in White House decision making after the Healthcare fiasco

10) The Healthcare fiasco during her husbands first term

Please note it is not acceptable to say "but Obama did ..." whatever you have to address her problems, not his perceived ones. Actually I do not expect any answer to this except for the occasional rant or the sound of crickets

You whole post is based on "but Hillary did". How fucking ridiculous. You ask people not to do exactly what you did.

3. I've seen all these questions answered. You should have paid attention when you had the chance.

6. I asked for answers Perry
If they have been answered put the answers down rather than linking to posts regarding Obama. Problem is these questions have never been answered by Clinton supporters - if they had been I would not have asked.

Now try answering rather than spamming you usual cut and paste post

7. My bad. I didn't realize the Obama supporters are like the guy in "Memento."
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 06:25 AM by Perry Logan
I'm sure many at DU have noted this weird phenomenon: People demand answers from Hillary supporters. Answers are given. Answers are ignored. And the cycle goes round again.

In this way, you can use your ignorance as a mighty weapon. I can see you are much too clever for us...

Next time the questions get answers, I'll note the links. But don't complain when I paste them in.

4. Perhaps not all are fair questions --
So let's eliminate the ones where her record is clearly different from Obama's

1) Her unwillingness to disavow her IWR vote in light of the events (no matter why she voted for it in the first place)

3) Her employment of someone (Mark Penn who is being paid $5m for being a part-time member of her campaign) who, amongst other things has ties to McCain's campaign

3) Her unwillingness to chastize James Carville, who called Bill Richardson a "Judas", after having called for Powers' resignation for calling her a monster (or saying that her deeds were monstruous).

4) How do Hillary supporters view the abominal mismanagement of campaign finance in light of the larger issue - guiding the federal economy, should she be successful? With all her connections, could we not expect her to have found and used better financial advisors?

5) Omit - it's relevant, but can lead to "well, HE..."

9 and 10) I'll give her a pass on healthcare under Bill's presidency.

Any takers? I can't speak for the OP, but I'm curious to know how Hillary supporters "tick" at this point.

5. My post is based upon problems with her candidacy
Problems that Hillary supporters have to address.

The IWR and Kyle/Lieberman are matters of record,

Penn and Carville are not employed by the Obama campaign,

the campaign finance issue is on the record,

Hsu and the Hsu trial are specifically Hillary problems,

the support of a republican Presidential nominee over a Democratic opponent is a Hillary position,

racial stereotyping occurred and was used by the Hillary campaign,

the Bosnia story was a lie made by Hillary to support her position that she was experienced,

her exclusion from decission making is a matter of record from recently released papers

the healthcare fiasco is a matter of record

BTW I have not included her misspeak about her support for NAFTA/CAFTA

8. To be fair, Kyle-Lieberman was a non-binding resolution -- but I don't know what that means
Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 06:46 AM by Drachasor
I don't really understanding how you can declare someone a terrorist in a "non-binding" way. I went and looked up the exact definition of "non-binding" bills and that didn't really help either. It just seems very bizarre.

That said, such a resolution gives more than enough justification for the Bush Administration to launch an attack, imho, and that's the real problem. On that level it was supremely foolish.

Edit: To clarify a bit, I know what a non-binding resolution is, my point is that this is kinda like having a non-binding resolution declaring war on another country. It seems just about that absurd to me.
